I always thought that was odd, especially back in 1998 when I first played the game. The whole time I'm waiting for an explanation, but nothing. It seems like she's just shouting all the time. What a bag of wind.

Yeah triple triad was f***ing superb. I'd kick Zell's mom's ass over and over at the beginning of the game when the "all" rule was in effect. I got so many cards and modded them. I upgraded Squall's weapon from the initial weapon to the 2nd best (Punishment I think it was called) before even doing the Dollet mission iirc.

Haven't gone near it yet. The character designs kind of turned me off from it when it came out. I did hear good things from reliable sources though so I'll give it a whirl sometime before I die.

It's because she spoke only in some weird way in Japanese that gave her a "foreigner" vibe, that pretty much can't be translated into any other language, so they went with this to preserve some of the weirdness. Or at least that's what I read.

Fujin speaking in caps is kind of a desperate attempt by the translators to translate something that gets lost in... translation. Yeah.

Like someone else said, she originally spoke in Kanji; Chinese symbols, which means she could only express an idea or item, without putting it into context.
