speaking of maps, the "Map of Red Mountain" that the people in Ghostgate give you is the most useless document in the entire game. worse than the company ledgers that don't have any suspicious problems.

Just downloaded Galsiah Character Development, want to give it a try. Basically it makes the leveling process of Morrowind seamless, no need to min-max since no skill level up is wasted. Seems pretty damn balanced too, and it also prevents you from being incredibly overpowered.

How'd that happen? O_o

Anyway, Gedna Revel is the only enemy I know of that levels up with you. Forget Gaelnor and Sovor Talos (that Her Hand dude that quit his job), she's the toughest enemy in the entire game. Also, finished with Tribunal, main quest and side quests. Kinda short. In hindsight, I should've waited until AFTER Bloodmoon before turning in my main weapon, the Spear of Bitter Mercy, and the Helm of Oreyn Bearclaw (Man, I don't like the fact that Argonians can't wear most helms. Oh well.). Then again, it's nice to see all the artifacts I collected on display like that. Just started Bloodmoon, and just realized I needed some booze to make the damn guards talk >_>

So I'm heading west from Dagon Fel, heading to this Assumanu place to get this maid token thing, fighting a gillion cliff racers on the way, when I find a daedra statue. Malacath as it turns out, with 4 decked out orcs there. Got wasted the first time in 3 hits. Was way more cautious the second time, took two of them out with arrows. My marksman skill was 19 at the time. Thankfully I had just over 200 arrows (all of which are gone now). I used my orc warhammer to pummel the crossbow orc, and then the 4th came from outta nowhere (didn't see him previously). Took a couple tries, but I killed him too.

Kept going west, found a daedric ruin, though the wrong one it turns out. It's the one that has the actual spirit of Malacath in it's statue. I've never done this quest before, so this should be pretty cool. Couldn't catch all of what he said, and my journal isn't very helpful in this quest. I'll look into it after I grab the maiden token. Any hints or suggestions on where to start looking? I know this about the bearclaw helm, though I already have the Masque of Clavicus Vile. Anyway, continuing to Assumanu.

I dunno, maybe it has something to do with Morrowind Comes Alive? I think that adds random bandits to towns, but they always comes after me and there's usually 3 or 4 of them, but the guards help after I get hit. She just went straight to the guard, so maybe he was triggered as a hostile to her before she went to me? Or something...

The helm of Oreyn Bearclaw is really really strong. Much Much better than the Masque of Clavicus Vile (For combat at least).

And you should ask around Vivec for clues, I ain't gonna tell you anymore than that !

Really? i think I'm being thorough, checking every place (sewers were booooooring), killing every thing, and side trips back to my house (well, the Hlaalo manor and the body of Ralen Hlaalo that's chockful of my stuff) to add my collection of... well, everything. Not counting clutter... though maybe I should start a collection of those, stealing from the clutter guy sounds like a good start. I've got 1 of almost every book (I believe I have every 2920 book, but still missing a couple of 36 lessons of Vivec), Grand Soul Gems filled with the souls of Dagoths, complete armor sets for some like Glass and Her Hand, and I even have 2 copies of every Daedric weapon, at least.

Solstheim so far is a wonderful place, though I kinda feel like this is to Morrowind as 2-4 is to Ace Attorney. Great, but barely has anything to do with the main story. The damn stones give me weird directions though.

As for the Helm, yeah, Malacath said to ask around in Vivec.

Oh, that reminds me, anybody know of any dungeon that's unusual or interesting? Ones like Mamaea (sand cave, neat!), or that Ancestral Tomb that turns out to be a Nord burial tomb (even has a labyrinth and viking ship!).

Mamaea is sand? I interpreted the white parts to be bone. If you look at it on the map the whole thing could be part of a huge skeleton (specifically, the spine and hips and part of the legs) of some kind of creature or something.

There's that one deadric ruin with that special forge where the Skull Crusher is made. I forget what it's called but I know you go there for an Imperial Cult quest.

Ah yes this place is awesome, it bugged for me once though, never could enter the room with Skull Crusher.

Skull Crusher is totally the best Blunt Weapon btw, fast, strong, no weight, hell yes.

I like Tel Vos' dungeon personally, found it for the first time today and it was pretty cool.

Mamaea's a skeleton? Have to look at the map again. Yep, been to the Tel Vos dungeon since Aryon said it's a shortcut to a Telvanni mission destination (and here I thought Aryon was a pretty nice Telvanni, but the notes left behind by the workers say otherwise), and already donated the Skull Crusher.

On another note, Stendar's Hammer just isn't worth it. I mean, I can pick it up no problem, but eh.

Note sure if I should be a Werewolf or not. Ah well, I can just keep a save file for different choices.

Just started a new game and it got epic pretty damn fast.

I use the Alternate Beggining mod si I decided to start by drowning in a shipwreck in the east coast. Needless to say that I was almost instantly assaulted by an army of slaughterfish. I barely escaped with my life (1hp literally) and since there was a storm I ran for shelter. I spotted a tomb in the distance but there was a skeleton who chased me. I had to kill the beast with nothing but my chitin short sword, and with only one HP this was really stressful. I did kill it and went at the tomb (I didn,t enter it) and slept until I was ready to move again.

I was without money nor equipement though, so my priority was to find civilization so I wandered around the wilderness and spotted a camp, I approached and the people in the camp proved to be hostiles so I ran for my life. One of the guy kept the chase for long minutes, I finally managed to distract him by using my Beast Tongue power on a nearby cliff racer. I continued searching for civilization and I finally found it, but it was Tel Fyr, and there's nothing there. I was out of money too so I couldn't take the ship to leave, so my only hope was to find gold in Tel Fyr. So I entered and couldn't find gold anywhere.. during my search I picked a key that allowed me to play the dungeon plundering game in the Corpusarium, I participated and left with Volendrung in my hands. Also got dwemer coins and some drakes..

Pretty cool start imo !

Rumors say that he can be found in Thirsk, drinking it up with his clan, others say he entertains patrons of a tavern in Balmora every day, another says he can be found roaming the countryside, exploring, and still another says he left for Akavir.

Of course, Oblivion and supplemental material pretty much makes what I did moot, but eh, it wasn't gonna last forever anyway.

Got that chick's glove, after she attacked me because I killed the little wood elf. He told me she wasn't taking appointments, I disagreed and let him know my thoughts physically. Then killed her too when she attacked me.

Anyway, went to Vivec. Talked to someone in the mages guild about Bearclaw, was told the last of his line (can't remember his name already) was in Gnaar Mok. Went there, was told he was just south of the city, killing rogue netches. Found him, and his very well armored guards. And giant, but dead, bull netches too. And a cave. Went in the cave first, killed some people, and looted the place. Have some dwemer pauldrons now. Back outside, tell this guy that he's been taking credit that isn't his, and he attacked me. And his guards kicked my ass. More than once. I eventually managed to kill them, though only after using some of my more damaging scrolls and such. Now decked out in full dwemer armor, along with a steel tower shield and the Masque of Clavicus Vile. Going to head back to that shrine place for the helm of that Bearclaw guy. Then decide what quests I want to do next!

Personally after getting my hands on Volendrung I took a boat to Sadrith Mora where I took care of the Gateway Haunting, I picked the Warrior Ring as my prize because +5 strength is awesome. Then I joined the House Telvanni even if my character is not that much of a mage (Major Illusion, Minor Mysticism) but their ways fitted with my character's so I joined anyway (They're better for thieves than Hlaalu imo, RP wise anyway). Did nearly all the quests for the mouths, only have to go see that Baladas dude so I can get a Patron and become a mouth.

Also I still have the Daedric Amulet I found in Tel Fyr, but I got my ass handed to me when I tried fighting the guy in Magas Volar so I'll wait to be better prepared !

So I checked the Better Bodies/Heads/Clothes/Deities/whatever mods, and man, i wished I had it. Original Morrowind looks damn ugly by comparison (Azura, ugh)
