Nadal has completed the ol' French-Wimbledon back-to-back feat twice before. He shall do it again to claim his Eleventh Major Title and become the undisputed God of Tennis.
He has been in the final of Wimbledon 4 of the last 5 years, winning the title in his last two attempts (the only blemish being in 2009 when he did not compete due to injury).
The rest of the field is competing for second place and I wish them the best.

I said that the draw wasn't even out but this was what I was predicting.
And in tennis topics, you state your predictions as fact or they don't count.
Hopefully Federer is in Djokovic's half though. And Murray is in Nadal's so that Nadal beats Murray in the semis and either Fed or Djokovic will get to come in second.

The only thing that brings Nadal even close to Federer's dominance is clay courts. 6/10 of his grand slams have been on clay. Federer won EVERYWHERE but clay (well once of course, hence the career grand slam). If there weren't clay courts, Nadal would be mediocre at best.

:( take away clay and all he has is more major titles than the top ten active players combined (not counting Federer).
So mediocre it hurts.
In fact, I am now in the process of drafting a petition that gets Nadal banned from the tour for being so dominant on clay and only mediocre everywhere else.

Without clay, Nadal would have 4 major titles. Without Wimbledon (Fed's best), Federer would still have 10. Nadal is a beast on clay. That's all. He's good elsewhere, but he's far from any all time top ten lists just yet.

I will admit that if Nadal wasn't around, Fed would be runaway king of the sport. It's nice they have a rivalry. Hopefully, someone 5 years younger will step up when Nadal reaches 30ish and give him some good bouts.

Is it seeds 1&3 in one half or 1&4, or random? I know for the French they did 1&4 in the same half, is it the same in every slam, I can't remember. Just wondering if there will actually be the possibility of a Nad/Fed final or semi-final.

Best Player Ever has to go to Federer. During his prime, he was a beast. He even beat Nadal consistently (bar clay surfaces) in his prime which was 2004-2007. From '08 his decline started. Even then he has posted like what 20 something consecutive semi-finals in Majors. Heck people even lost count of his consecutive quarter-final appearances.
Federer's records - 16 Grand Slams - 20+ consecutive Semi-Finals in Grand Slams - 30+ consecutive Quarter-Finals in Grand Slams? - Most consecutive weeks at No.1 - 5 year-end World Tour championships - Owns EVERY Master Series titles except for Monte Carlo, Rome and Paris (two of which are on clay, his least favorite surface) - Is 6-5 Head to Head against Nadal (bar the clay surface, we already agree Nadal's better there) - Has the record for dishing the most number of Bagels and Breadsticks: 2004-2006.. Yes I agree that Nadal matches up badly with Federer in style of play and Federer has a certain weakness to Nadal just like Nadal does against the likes of Djokovic and Del Potro. Whereas Djokovic and Del Potro has a much harder time against Federer than Nadal due to his style of play. Nadal IS better than Federer on Clay by a long shot and everyone else except Djokovic Federer IS better than Nadal in everything else (records show it) and everyone else
We can't compare the Federer now to Nadal and Djokovic. The guy's 30. His prime is over. Sure he may win another Grand Slam or two at best but thats it. Nadal's also nearing his expiry date with his physical style of play. He's not gonna last trust me (maybe 2 more slams at best... 2 Roland Garros) So we're looking more at Djokovic, Del Potro and hate to say it but Murray in the near future. Djokovic's cool though, he has the charisma of a champion like Federer. Nadal just doesn't... with his shameless butt picking and broken english.
11 Grand Slams but he only entered the Aus Open once which was played on grass at the time (i.e. One of his better surfaces). That's impressive when you realise he effectively retired at the age of 24/25 (actually retired at 26 in 1983 but only played 1 tournament in 1982).
His Grand Slam singles record is 141–16. Nadals is 131–18 for the record but he's entered 1 more slam (124-18 over the same number of slams)

Oh and Federer's record is 219–32. It will be more impressive than Borg and Nadal's record from the point where he won his first Wimbledon though (190-16)
Hmm, I guess that makes it a bit more murky actually.
Either way, I certainly rank Borg above Nadal for the moment.
