Trump is obnoxious, sure, but while he is the face of the Republican party, the party's policies and goals are bigger than Trump. His replacement would still implement Project 2025 if elected, and I think Trump being the nominee hurts Republicans. So no hug in exchange for his candidacy, but I would hug him for a sure guarantee that he will peacefully concede if he loses.
