Abortion and gender theory are bad, but molesting kids all the time and protecting the abusers by moving them to different churches is fine.

Honestly, it pisses me off that people can still be Catholic after hearing about all the abuse.

I'd say them having centuries of child sexual abuse and covering it up is a much greater threat to human dignity.

Covering up the rape of children by men who allegedly took a vow of celibacy to appease their Sky Daddy actually accomplishes this, especially for their victims.

I thought they were getting better about this the last decade. This coincides with how the American GOP are getting much more extreme out of desperation as more and more people fall out of favor with religion as well.

I would posit that an organization that's covered up the systemic rape of children perpetrated by their representatives a much graver threat to human dignity, but maybe that's just me.

My post was sarcastic and from the perspective of the Catholic Church, not my own.

That's rich coming from people who refuse to give up their own pedo priests to the law, were the cause of soaring hiv rates in africa by condemning condom usage, tried to destroy indigenous cultures and populations, was responsible for the inquisition, and so many other horrors.

The Catholic Church is in no position to be talking about what's harmful to kids.

Fine but add to the decree that it is not a right to interfere with personal decisions.

The abortion problem and gender problem is demagogues usurping the power to make decisions for people.

The entire religion is an embarassment. Christianity has not been good for the world.

Nothing says a threat to human dignity like treating trans people with human dignity.

Glad they took time out of their busy day of obfuscating for child rapists and pedophiles in their church to chime in on what constitutes a "grave threat".
