On a rare occasion I will see one and think it's actually quirky/neat/funny but 95% of the time I either don't get it or cringe. Part of the cringe for me involves the fact the commonwealth DMV here charges 96 dollars for them. I kind of feel like a good portion of the people who have vanity plates do so in place of a real personality, but maybe i'm just being an asshole. ... Copied to Clipboard!

However we have a "save the animals" license plate that perhaps a portion of the funds go to some charity that is colorful with a tiger on it. That is actually sweet as hell. I wouldn't spend money on one, but it is cool. ... Copied to Clipboard!

One of the few times I actually was intrigued by one, was when I saw a car that said ICEMAN I don't know if there is some greater reference afoot, but I was curious if it was a reference to the song "details on how to get ICEMAN on your license plate" by Don Caballero, a band that is from this region. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=d5yeE8NvSSo However, since a lot of people may see a license plate that says that and scratch their heads, maybe I am an asshole ... I don't really care, but I've heard that people with lots of bumper stickers are statistically more likely to exhibit road rage. If they have so many things that they're passionate about displaying to others, traffic may we be one of those things.
