I've heard its a short game and cut a ton from the original but is the actual game decent?

Developed by Capcom's B team, I'd score it a decent 77.

yeah it cuts cool stuff from the original, nemesis isn't as good as he could have been and the replay value isn't as much as remake 2. that said, I still really liked it. I've been a fan of the remakes the last 5 years

Jill handled that tentacle like she was trying to make rent.

It's not quite as good as 2 but I still enjoyed it and think it's worth playing.

I've also never played the original, so I have nothing to compare it to.

It's biggest problem is that the original RE3 exists. On it's own merits, it's a solid entry in the RE series, albeit one that's short and a bit lacking in content.

My friend played the remake without ever playing RE3 and loved it and didn't understand what everyone was complaining about. Then she watched a let's play of the original game. After that she got it.

Far better than the 2 remake. Not as good as the 4 remake. Nowhere near as good as REmake.

Its still good but felt like a dlc compared to the content in RE2.

An easy skip. They cut off sections that were in the original, also neutered nemesis since he's not nearly as present as he was before hes actually worse than Mr. X in the second remake, super short as well.

Fun gameplay with the dodge mechanics but the game is pretty short

I enjoyed it but as mentioned it's terribly short and they cut a lot from the original. That said, it's $10 on Steam right now and if you intend on getting the most out of it with multiple playthroughs I'd say it's well worth it.

Of all the remakes it is the worst, but is still a fun game to play, plus I still say the original is better.

It's a decent game, but it's a really bad rendition of RE3. It's like a completely different game from the original. The original is one of the best RE games, imo, and they ruined it with the remake.

I'd say it's probably worth whatever it's going for nowadays. Pretty sure it's available on gamepass and the ps equivalent.

I dont understand why the other games dont have that awesome dodge move.

It's short, like really short, as in the Ada DLC in 4 remake is longer.

However, it is a very fun short ride, and obviously some of the OG stuff shouldn't have been cut, but it's worth the $10 sales it always goes on.

I watched a playthrough of re3 on ps1it looked MISERABLE and took so long.

It's great. I liked it better than 2 in some regards

It's not terrible, but it's definitely inferior to the original in every way except graphics.

They cut out several areas.
Nemesis is now scripted instead of appearing at random.
They took away choices that were available in the original.
Took away The Mercenaries.
And multiple other things.

It feels like a side project while they were working on something else. It's like 6 hours long.

I know its not the popular opinion but I felt that the remake of 2 was awful. Good for you if you enjoyed it though.

Ironically, I think Nemesis shows up less because they made him more dangerous. He's such a powerful enemy that it would be really annoying to have him around as much as Mr. X, so they minimized his screen time.

As for my opinion in it, I think it's pretty good, but it does very much feel like DLC for the RE2 remake.

Good action game, bad RE game.

Resistance was pretty fun for what it was. I got about 60 hours out of it.

Plus you got some really cool interactions with RE characters that are rarely seen like Alex Wesker and Spencer.

plus "William! help me eradicate all trace of our past! And then i shall also lay you to rest!"

That being said, i wish they used more resources on the main game. Pad it out a little more with a clock tower segment and expand the sewers to include the waste treatment facility as well.

Its worth playing, just dont pay more than like. 30 for it

its free on game pass currently, but i still cant be assed to check it out

It's pretty underwhelming. I played it just so I could experience it.

This is true too. I was underwhelmed by the first half of the game where it tried to be more traditional RE, but I quite enjoyed the second half where it embraced being more of an action game.
