So people were protesting, and a bunch of police in riot gear showed up. I highly doubt the crowd had any knowledge of the bomb call, they probably thought the police were there to break up the protest. Theres no quotes from anyone in the article except a police page by the way.

Like this is the only quotation in the article relating to the actual incident.

It doesnt even quite match the articles own description of events, which says that riot gear police were there. CE should know better by now than to take a police tweet at its word as the actual truth of the incident, but then I think CE still doesnt read the article and just accepts the framing of the topic title.

People were protesting and the police picked that road to go down. How would protester know how to block the police getting to a bomb call .

I like how before, the people defending street-blocking protests would say, "they know to let thru emergency vehicles" (you know, even like when they park their cars in a line across a bridge and throw their keys in the water, the protestors knew no emergency vehicles would need to come thru)

This is how you know TC made this topic in bad faith. They don't care if what the topic says is true. They just wanted to shit on protesters.

But did the police get to the bomb threat in time? Thats what Im more concerned about.

Edit: Just saw somebody else claim it was a dummy grenade. Glad nobody was in danger of getting hurt or worse.

From the article:

It happened around 4 p.m. Saturday near 42nd Street and 7th Avenue. An Uber had just dropped off a passenger and found a grenade in the back seat. The bomb squad later determined it was an inactive, novelty grenade.

This one took a route right in the middle of a protest. So that at least have bad judgement .

Handy coincidence TC already opposed the protestors and their cause in the first place. Without the blocking police excuse theyd have to admit that.
