For me it is when someone wants something from me (like a favour) and drag out the actual question. Rather than write and say something like Hey. Im wondering if I could ask <the favour> of you?, they act modest and crawl around the issue.

When someone says something and then bookends their sentence with so

People who mutter under their breath or otherwise talk outloud to themselves in a office setting. Are they incapable of simply thinking inside their heads?

People complaining about bookending sentences with "so..."

A lot of people are in fact not capable of that

Stubbornness

People talking to each other at checkout, not paying attention to their order that I'm scanning through.

And if I ask if they want their stuff in a box, and they're still talking and don't answer, I don't put their stuff in anything.

And then, when they see they need to gather their things, my response is always "that's what you get for socializing".

People who walk out of a shops doorway and just stop dead.

People who cannot resist the urge to talk.
People who insist on telling long-winded stories that go off on tangents and can never get to the fucking point.
People who have no concept of time and move slower than glaciers.

Incidentally all three of these describe most old people, so I guess you could say I can't stand old people. I'm currently going through all of the above with my grandfather.

I don't like when someone needs to borrow my phone to make a call and goes on to have a full blown conversation on the call

Assholes who honk their horn daily around 9am across the street from my house.

People who give you a sarcastic "You're welcome" when they did absolutely nothing to deserve a thank you.

Standing on escalators or being the first car in the right lane at a red light at an intersection. The latter really pisses me off because you know the guy behind you could actually make his turn if you werent there, and the former is just lazy unless you have a legit reason.

Basically, I hate being stuck behind slow people.

People with inflated egos. Also, people who give you a major shit about not talking to them in a long time, when I'm busy with life and they don't even bother talking to me either.

People who fucking REEK of weed when they walk around in public, or go into stores smelling like that.

People constantly on their phone. While having a conversation, during a movie, playing games, just any time your attention is supposed to be anywhere but your phone.

people who block any part of the aisle at the grocery store

Gaslighting.

Passive aggression.

Self-centredness coupled with a genuine lack of self-awareness and empathy for other people (which usually devolves into gaslighting).

People that think it's appropriate to strike up conversations with cashiers.

People that borrow money (a small amount that's easily repayable) or my possessions and 'forget' about it. Calculated move to get what you want for free and make you look like a tightass when you ask for it back.

Consistently ordering the same order as me at a restaurant.

Extroverts who take it personally when I am not overly social with them. Bonus points for the ones that go on and create a one sided war with you.

People who self diagnosis autism and refuse to get diagnosed because they know they probably dont have it.

People who constantly joke and never have an actual conversation with you. Bonus points when you try to joke but they operate as tho you were being serious.

Passive aggressive. Pick one and fucking roll with it you indecisive blaaaaaaank

Fidgeting when you're playing cards. Hand shuffling, card flicking, etc.

Drives me up the wall.

Yes. Just generally having no idea that theyre in everybodys way is what gets me.

When someone promises that they'll do something and then when they don't do it they try to put it back on you by saying something like "Well you should have reminded me". Just a simple apology would be way better. I'm not responsible for making sure you follow through on your commitments.

I don't care if you have a bad habit, we all do. But don't complain about other people doing something that you also do. I remember when I was in a car with my older sister, and she was complaining about people who tailgate. She can't stand it. ...She was all of a foot behind the car in front of her. It wasn't gridlock or anything. I knew she wasn't joking because she pulled shit like that all the time. She was never self aware of any of it.

When a staircase is available I always take it. But when its not, I can not stand people who have no sense of awareness that maybe someone else has some place to go.

Im also going to add people who block the aisle with their shopping carts when grocery shopping, or use their damn cellphone at the red light, and have no idea the light turned green. Also, people who take their sweet time crossing at the crosswalk when they know the turning lane light is green.

Turning your cart sideways in the aisle is a dick move.

Coworkers who do everything in their power to not work or constantly pass the buck. I work with a guy right now who always seems to be away from his keyboard, sometimes for hours at a time, and whenever he's on duty for a certain task, suddenly he has "mysterious errors" and needs the team's help to get it done. He was already like this before he had a kid, but now that he's a dad, he's milking that card for all it's worth. Speaking of...

People who do not shut up about their kid(s), pet(s), or relationship(s). The kid and pet ones (usually dog owners) might be worse since pictures usually follow and then like-minded people join the conversation making it never end. Look, I love my cat, but I don't feel the need to talk about her constantly. On the other hand, baby talk can get genuinely weird and even TMI, and lord help you if you don't have a kid yourself and some older people are around to make the usual comments.

I also find it annoying when people are unable to do their own research on a subject and their first idea is to beg for help. I understand if it's a more technical, specialized thing, but if it's something pertaining to a lighter work matter or doesn't need a specialist, I don't understand why more people don't make use of the most valuable resource ever, the internet (and usually in the palm of their hand) as their first option.

Control freaks are another type of people I can't stand. They need to be taken down a couple pegs and be made to realize they aren't in charge of everything nor should they be.
