I only played for maybe 2 hours back in 2007 and don't remember much of it.
Decided to start again today.
I know of the p2w controversy and lawsuit and blah blah blah, but I gotta say I love the story, music and voice acting so far. They must be using the voice actors that do anime dubs because I'm pretty sure I recognize some of them.
If anything, I definitely wanna continue playing, at least for the story.

I came back to it a few years ago but the pace on official servers was extreme. I picked some special class- I think it was Kanna?- and I was gaining levels so quickly with aoes that covered such massive areas it felt pointless. It's like that with all old MMOs though. They want new players to be able to catch up.
I started a new WOW character a few years ago and I think my character gained like 6 levels from one quest lol

MapleStory is one of those anomalies where it somehow works... you have game breaking Evans next to people to intentionally stay the beginner (classless) class
