Never been pulled over.

The closest thing I can recall was when I was driving the highway, and I hear a siren behind me.
I thought "this is go time, where I put all my experience from NFS to the test".
And then the cop just zoomed past me.

I didn't get a ticket or anything, but I felt like I failed and lost.

4, I think.

Last one was bullshit because I never saw the speed limit sign thanks to an 18 wheeler.

First I saw the new speed limit was when he pulled me over and I happened to stop right in front of the sign.

Others were all on me lol

I will say, people in certain industries tend to be more careful driver than others, simply because the consequences are heavier.

1) Yeah, Need For Speed. Was going to put my video game driving skills to the test against the cop, and it wasn't even a race. He didn't even notice me.

2) Well, can't speak for all, but in healthcare professions that require licenses from the board, you have to report it to the board. And then they penalize you additionally (which can be anything they feel like is appropriate... which can range from fine to stripping of your professional license). And you have to mention the transgression every time you apply for a job (plus it's listed on the government's professional license website so not something you can hide and hope no one notice).

No speeding tickets ever...

Had like three tickets from a wreck I caused as a teenager but the judge or DA or whoever makes the decision dropped all of those and I didn't have to pay a dime or anything. Which I was so thankful for. I feel like it was because I was honest with the cop telling him I wasn't wearing a seatbelt or wearing my glasses like I was required to at the time. Then again, the other driver was driving with a suspended license so shouldn't have been on the road either. Thankfully nobody was seriously hurt but my parent's were pissed because I totalled their car and they literally had one payment left and there was like 65k miles on the car so it would have lasted for years...

Yes, it's their business because that's what the board claim, and you're not entitled to a profession a license.

And anything can be a grounds for punishment, not just actual law violations.
Being a victim of a fraud can be a grounds for punishment (because you should have known better, etc etc).

It sucks and is pretty stressful.
One of the reasons why there are so many burnout and why some people may not be as helpful or so anal (because being helpful or not being so anal can expose you to the risk).

Could be. This one was from a red light camera that got me for speeding, but Oregon still holds those pretty heavily. Not about to care, if they take my license I'm going to keep driving anyways and if they try and take more than that they can see how it'll play out, but won't go well for them.

It was roughly $125, somewhere around there. I couldve peeled off the tint and went to court with proof and have the judge throw out the ticket, but court fees would be about $100 anyways so I just paid the fine and kept the tint.

Yes.
You know, the first thing they tell you at school is to protect your license, and the last thing they tell yo is to protect your license.

Sometimes you see youtube videos of doctors/nurses/pharmacist/etc etc and not prescribing/giving out medication (particularly opioids). That's because the pill mills pretty much caused such an epidemic that the penalty of being tricked by patients is so much heavier (aka the guys who get the pills to sell on the streets)... or if lawyers decide down the road that the patient got addicted because you provided access to the pills.

Only three. The first two happened when I was 18 and were fair

The third one though, was BS and happened when I was 25. My fiance (now ex) and I were going to check out a mattress store. From a distance I noticed a crosswalk was flashing and a guy was crossing the street. And just beyond that crosswalk were about 3 police cars pulled over with their lights on. I slowed down a bit as I approached, but the guy finished crossing before we got to the crosswalk. However, he immediately turned around and started crossing again.

That's when it dawned on me that the crosswalk was a setup and those police cars were there because they had pulled people over. I thought about slamming on my brakes, but the car behind me was right on my ass and when I looked in my mirror, he wasn't paying attention because he was staring at the police cars. So my options were go through the crosswalk and join the people getting a ticket, or slam on the brakes and get rear ended. And my fiance was pregnant so... Yeah... As soon as we went through the crosswalk, police swooped in on me and the car behind me. And there were several more police cars waiting in a parking lot

He was either a plainclothes officer or a volunteer for the department. No reason a normal person would repeatedly cross the street like that.

And it's apparently something that was happening pretty often back then. Like this one from October 2013:

Apparently 29 people got $280 tickets a total of $8,120 in about an hour.

Unfortunately in Oregon that's not the case, those are basically treated with all the authority of a cop writing a ticket which is insane
