Jiek_Fafn 08/05/23 7:26:35 AM #5:	The first few episodes are very very bad. Once they figure out what to do with Sheldon, it's a pretty normal sitcom. It's very long, so the stamina to get through it all when there isn't much that's really engaging is kind of an issue. It's fine for watching episodes here and there, but marathoning it eventually just turns it into background noise imo. Not sure how much you'd watch while marathoning it, but binging like a 6 episodes here and there so it doesn't blend together too much, seems good. Duality of man, etc. Personally, adding the girlfriends wasn't really the issue. It's more about the mismatched dynamics. Leonard and Penny, when they were together, were largely insufferable for most of the run. Penny was almost always better with anyone else. Sheldon and Amy had some downs, but were mostly improved. Howard was already pretty good to start, whether he was with Bernadette, Penny, or even Sheldon. We don't talk about Raj. Anyway, Well Leonard getting penny always came across as more nerd wish fulfillment especially in the early seasons when she has pity sex with him and stuff, so they don't have the best chemistry although the show does joke about it and him "wearing her down" With Howard I wouldn't say he was good at the start so much, the whole point of why he's the best character is because he has the most improved growth during the show's run, from an annoying creep to a likable, responsible ~~husband and father and even astronaut~~. I mostly like Sheldon and Amy, its always funny to go back and see how the writers tried to get work out her character's personality from just "female Sheldon" to another smart scientist with her own quirks. Howard is my least favourite but I know from watching random later episodes he will change.
