Current Events > 30 hours in and I am still digging Wo Long Fallen Dynasty

Made a post a few weeks ago when I first started playing, since this is the first hard game, souls-like, whatever you want to call it, that I have ever played.
At first I was shocked I even beat the first boss, but I'm further now and still really enjoying it.
I am about 30 hours in and about 75% of the way through. I wasted a lot of time in the first couple levels because I really didn't "get" how to play the game, so I died, a lot.
I think my favorite thing about the game is the level design, and exploring every area. It is also nice when you are really locked in and know no enemy is going to stop you. I wouldn't say the boss battles are fun, but they haven't been too annoying. I really only got stuck on 1 so far, and I just co-op it with a person online. So I know if I really get stuck later I can do that again, which is nice.
I'm thinking I might try Jedi Fallen Order after this.

You might want to try Nioh 2 before Jedi, it's basically wo long (even made by the same team) but better.

Yeah Nioh 2 on PC is great.

Nioh 2 on paper is a lot better than Nioh 1.

But it's so embarrassingly easy I still prefer the first one.

I got Wo Long back in April, but I'm waiting for the DLCs to be out before playing it.

Wo Long was so disappointing, was hoping for something polished and fun and challenging like Nioh but instead got babby's first Soulslike. Level design is embarrassingly basic, the combat is super basic after Nioh's incredibly complex combat system, and the game runs and looks like ass. Nioh 1 and 2 came out years ago yet look and run better. Some parts of WL literally look like a PS3 game, like when you're in the dorky tree village.

TLDR go play Nioh 1 and 2

I would now like to point out that after 30 hours, I just figured out what sub battlefields (side missions) are. Now they are all insanely easy because I am overleveled.

I really loved the Jedi games, you should enjoy those.

You'd think so but there are some BS gankbangs in some of those

WoLong is only kinda like Nioh 2. Nioh 1 and 2 are both great games and they're worth looking into, but they've got a lot of fundamental differences.. The closest comparison to WoLong that I've played is Sekiro.
