I'm not planning to go out of my way to see it, but I might watch it eventually.

Maybe if/when it hits one of the freebie movie channels, but not now.

A potential "aye" from me down the line. The trailer had made it look like a generic adventure with a Mario Bros. skin on it, so I'm glad some people are at least enjoying it rather than bored on release.

I've seen the 90s one, not the recent one.

Just came back from the theater. I was just going to stream it but the GF wanted to go and we had free movie passes so I figured why not.

Was pleasantly surprised. It was a little on the short end, but much better than expected. Had quite a few laugh out loud moments. It was better than Sonic, that's for sure (which wasn't half bad, either, but Jim Carey carried that film, while the entire cast of Mario did a great job at their roles).

@Lokarin Sarcasm aside, I agree. This movie had a lot more adult content than I was expecting (and I don't mean explosions). If I had kids, I probably wouldn't be comfortable with taking them to see this film; at least not until they've hit puberty.

Especially Seth Rogen. His performance reminded me of the DKC cartoon; nostalgia was hitting me hard in those scenes.

Still wasn't 100% sold on Chris Pratt, though. He did his best, but he kept alternating between a mild Brooklyn accent, a hint of Italian, and his normal speaking voice. I still think Charles Martinet could have pulled the role off; the producers just needed to hand him a Valium before speaking his lines, so that he could deliver them less excitedly.

Why can't you just tell her no? If my brother tried to dump his kids on me, I'd kick his ass. That's what siblings do best.

She doesn't have anyone else to dump them on (our other siblings, if they were around, are not an option, she would be better off leaving even the 8 year old home alone for nearly a week over either of those two fuckwits), and she has to go up north for a work thing with my brother in law, which is why I end up with them. Not that anyone would want to look after a certain nephew anyway.

And how is any of that your problem? Just tell them to fuck off and get a babysitter lol
