Of course the Christian group is using this publicity to beg for money. Shameless

surely the same people who adamantly support a bakery's right to refuse service to gay people will support this too, right?

I was for the bakery being able to refuse the couple.
And I am fine with this restaurant refusing this couple too, and hope they tell all their friends and this restaurant gets alot less customers.

Cobb said one of the restaurant's owners called her to cancel the reservation about an hour and a half before the event was set to begin.
She compared the experience and today's cultural climate to "the 1950s and early 60s, when people were denied food service due to their race."

That experience is not the same at all and it pisses me off that she's trying to compare this to the racism that people of color experienced back then.

No I'm saying no one believes Christians should be refused service on the basis of them being Christian. They are being refused for supporting legislation that allows LGBT+ to be refused.

With that said, Im in support of restaurants refusing service to whoever they want

I still will say the same thing I said about the bakery.
This most likely isn't the ONLY restauruant in the area, just go to another one and give them your business.

A somewhat important distinction between this and the bakery is that this restaurant cited political views as a reason for refusing service (NOT religion) while the bakery cited recognizing sexuality - excluding a group versus excluding a category of people.
