I guess I would say 4 or 5/10.

Good

• Queen Romonda scenes are pretty good. She is honestly the only character I liked.
• Killmonger cameo, interesting character who highlights how weak everyone else is.
• Namor has some cool aspects.
• I like Mesoamerican history so that stuff was cool to me.

Bad

• Suri is the true weak link here. At best she is extremely boring, at worst she is annoying towards the end. And Letitia Write just does a bad job acting.
• None of the serious scenes about T'Challa passing (and there are many) connected with me at all or made me feel anything.
• It is too long. There are huge chunks that are just boring. There is no other way to say it.
• There are basically no good action scenes.
• Namor is pretty cool, but what he is trying to do is so ridiculous it ruins the character for most of the movie.
• The central conflict, what to do with Riri, could easily have been handled in a very easy way that no character seems to even consider.
• There are multiple scenes with Everett Ross and Elaine from Seinfeld that could be cut from the movie and you would lose absolutely nothing. They add nothing to the movie.
• A lot of it is just too dark visually.
• Ironheart looks like a cheap cartoon in action scenes.

I am disappoint.

You guys really needed another one.

I haven't missed a Marvel movie in theaters yet, but man am I tempted to wait for Disney+ on this one. Shuri is just such a weak lead character.

sounds like you're agreeing with almost everything the negative reviews were saying, that CE said to ignore because it's got 95 rotten tomatoes lol. except i think the reviews generally liked the memorial scenes.

The first one was pretty bad as well

It was good that Mesoamerican people got representation. That is important to have.

I thought it was fine. Whatever.

But it is VERY long. The older I get, the more I like short movies.

Shuri was also my least favorite part.

the only posts where I saw stuff like this were the ones where the TC wanted us to accept that the movie was bad because they found some review(s) that aligned with their opinion.

I'm not saying anything about the TC of this topic's view, though, since he actually watched the movie first.

I saw one person's review where they complained about a few things then said it was a 9.8/10, which made me laugh.

I don't get the "too dark" complaints. The main dark scenes were the underwater ones, which... makes sense for being underwater

You can't just drop that and not elaborate. What way could that have been handled that wasn't considered?

Without Ross, it would have made no sense for Wakanda to suddenly know who, and where, the "scientist" was. The scenes beyond that didn't add much, but they were short anyway, so no big deal.

The first was pretty average. I have no desire to see this one especially with Shuri as a lead.

The world powers were all trying to get their hands on vibranium (an opening scene shows soldiers failing to steal some from Wakanda), and the US discovered a new location in the middle of the ocean, using a vibranium detector.

Namor and his people stopped them from taking the vibranium and wanted to find and kill the scientist that had the knowledge to create the detector. He felt that eventually they would attack his kingdom, in their attempts to find vibranium.

So he asked Wakanda to help find the scientist, since Black Panther was the one who showed vibranium to the world and started this whole mess. Eventually, he talked to Shuri alone and she asked him not to kill the scientist.

He tells her that if he can't kill the scientist and guarantee that the world won't be able to look for vibranium again, then he'll just have to attack the world first. Because it would be inevitable that the search for vibranium would lead world powers to attacking his kingdom just like they tried to attack Wakanda.

He also threatens her that if they wage war on the rest of the world, then either Wakanda helps, or he and his people will destroy Wakanda first. They're either allies, or enemies. No in between.

Yeah thats a bit dumb.

Will wait for Disney + in a few weeks, is what I would say, but have not bothered to watch Thor: Love and Thunder yet, fatigue is real.
