It's actually crazy to me how far Giant Bomb has fallen since the start of the pandemic that they think bringing in random "youtube influencers" is going to do anything but drive away the only people that care about the site. Not being in the office put Giant Bomb on life support, but the deathblow was when Brad/Alex/Vinny left to make a superior podcast.

In a perfect world, Gerstmann will find a way to extricate himself from this dumpster fire and join the Nextlander crew

Nextlander has become pretty boring to me, they're just doing the same old things and rarely try anything new and they usually play games I'm not interested in. I'm still supporting them so I can listen to their Podcast content but I rarely watch the videos at all at this point.

Almost every new giant bomb feature outside of allbummer has been exciting to me And this one specifically because super eyepatch wolf is one of the best YouTube out there. I do wish Gerstmann was part of this, but the very online show is great so I'm good with this cast.

Jan/Jess the current GOAT duo though

Yeah I realized that I can only tolerate so much of Brad on podcasts and when its only three people on the pod instead of four or five or six that means proportionally more Brad than I want. I sometimes watch their streams if its a game I want to see, but thats it

No idea what your beef with Brad is. He was consistently third best duder behind Vinny and Gerstmann. As for "Jess", she's the reason I stopped listening to the bombcast with her penchant for constantly interrupting interesting conversations to drop a Silent Hill related non-sequitor, presumably because that's the only video game she has ever played. Never thought it would be possible to find someone worse than Abby, but here we are

This is rad as hell, though! SEW is and has always been a fantastic content creator, and great speaker. Should be a match made in heaven.

Yes. Also putting quotation marks around Jesss name for some reason and spewing garbage about her despite the fact that shes not on this podcast and also finding a way to insult Abby at the same time Almost as if he has a problem with women or something!

Anyway, this sounds good. All of GBs recent content has been really enjoyable (Albummers not for me, but the people into music in that way seem to really like it) I just hope Danny comes back soon so Borne to Run can return, that stuff was wild.

Giantbomb just seems to cover games in video form less frequently than they used to. And I get it, but also...I'm a subscriber and you're a company that's supposed to cover games, so I don't want to hear excuses. Someone one their forums put into stark numbers the sheer drop in Quick Looks that has happened the past 2-3 years. It's sad because it means the only video coverage of smaller games only ever comes from an occasional UPF segment. Plus, a lot of the games focused shows have sort of fizzled out (Evil Uno's thing, Borne to Run, etc.).

I'm not interested in this new show, which is fine. I'm not really interested in a lot of the non-games stuff. Though GB did get me into F1, so if they cover something you like it's good news.

Oh, and Jan/Jess have ABSOLUTELY been the best lately. Without them there would practically be nothing coming from GB.

Nextlander has been fine. They're continuing to do "old school" long form GB content. Again, good if you're into that "show" but bad if you're not. For example, Vinny did his GotG playthrough, which I couldn't watch because at some point I'd like to actually play that game.

I don't get the Brad hate. I really enjoy his Tech Pod show with Will Smith.

Don't really care much about Giant Bomb or Super Eyepatch Wolf but more Jojo in life is always good
