Are you anti-science?

It actually makes sense now why so many right-wingers hate vaccines..and it's all because they hate science.

Think about it. They don't believe climate change is caused by humans even though sciences proves it. They don't believe in evolution and buys into creationism which was proven by science.

And now they don't trust vaccines because they think it's a silent killer and we're being used as lab rats for "science" even though science has been the reason for saving their big behinds thanks to life saving procedures, medical technology etc..

Science is only beneficial to them when they need it such as prescription drugs and life saving surgeries. Then they sing a different tune and go right back to being anti science after they're saved.

So even though people are surprised that only 60% of americans are vaccinated. It's not surprising that so many, mainly conservatives are not cause those are the anti-science people and which explains why american politics will never change cause they hold a lot of sway in passing laws which ironically nothing ever gets passed, hence the status quo..

None of those have been scientifically proven.

I think the right "believes in" science on some level, it's just that they prioritize the beliefs needed to stay in good standing with their right-wing social club (and individualistic wants) more than their belief in science. Nobody should be surprised that logic can be enslaved to emotions or social pressure in 2022, right? The left does this also, of course, albeit not in a way that's as problematic at the moment...except that it directly 'feeds the beast' via the right-wing media.

As a former conservative... No. Just... No. I believe in vaccines and my family has been always pro-vaccine (I got chewed out one year for missing my flu shot due to work) but they're heavily against the mandates. One of them is refusing to get it effectively out of protest and even the ones who do have it speak out immensely against the mandates. We all believe in climate change and doing our best to clean up the environment (as a kid I'd get a major reprimand for littering, for example, and helped to clean up several areas). We just don't think that telling some poor guy who needs his truck that he's the root of all environmental evil and needs to swap to an electric truck that he can't afford while celebrity's fly around in private jets and companies, especially companies in places like China, pollute wildly. Plant some trees, champion nuclear energy, but the whole 'get everyone to switch to electric cars in 5 years' is unrealistic, insane, and extremely elitist (cause most people couldn't possibly afford the switch responsibly even if they wanted to).

While my family is creationists I, along with all my friends who were in the same circle, do believe in evolution and even among my family they don't deny science in any other area except evolution-based stuff.

It's like claiming that the crackpot advocating that we dissolve the family and make all children wards of the state is the voice of the left or something. It's not like the left is some paragon of logic, science, and knowledge either.
