So I get that the appeal of tabletop games is generally that of an adventure with your friends.

That said, I have no tabletop experience whatsoever and am looking for something to pass the time at work. Doesn't have to necessarily be DnD specifically.

Just something where I can create a character and an AI DM makes the adventure for you to take them through.

Bonus points if it involves the Pathfinder universe or classes.

Seems like you want DnD, though... should find a group and give it a try!

Not sure of how good mobile versions are, but you can look into:

Knights of Pen and Paper
Warlock on Firetop Mountain
Crimson Shroud (might only be in 3DS)

You can look into old school text adventures as well...

Wildermyth is absolutely awesome, and it would be incredible if it came to mobile.

As an aside, Warlock on Firetop Mountain is a gamified version of a Fighting Fantasy book from the 1980s (ie, something like a Choose Your Own Adventure).

The thing about D&D is that you can solve your problems in pretty much any way you want. There's really no substitute for that, since our technology isn't there at all.
