Wish Bulbasaur did better

I was mostly pulling for fighting game characters Blanka, Morrigan, and Felicia in particular, as well as Bahamut in the earlier stages of the game. Blanka was my preferred character from the entire field, but Ill gladly take Morrigan as a consolation prize.

I wanted my main girl, Higanbana to do better. I can't remember how far she went in the Save that Horror contest from awhile ago, but one day I'll get her to top 10. Didn't expect Liz to go farther than her though. Just shy of the top 10! I thought about nominating my staple, Bern at the beginning, but I think it would have been too much of a stretch to fit in the Monster theme.

Was hoping Tyranitar would win it though.

Darkstalkers isnt particularly popular, but Marvel vs Capcom is. Im assuming that most people are familiar with her from those games.

Ive never played a Darkstalkers title, but Ive played plenty from the Vs. series.

I think lol boobs were a likely reason for people voting for Morrigan in the finals, but prior to that, she didnt get a ton of votes. People stuck to the characters they were backing. She had a few close calls at various points.

TC, are you a big fan of fighting games, or fighting games by Capcom? I noticed throughout the game that in the earlier stages, you and I were saving Blanka, Morrigan & Felicia quite often.

I haven't played a fighting game in a while, but I absolutely loved them when I was a kid/teen. It was my favorite genre

I'd spend hours playing Street Fighter, Mortal Kombat, Darkstalkers, Tekken, Battle Arena Toshinden, Rival Schools, Eternal Champions, Killer Instinct, Fighters History, and more.

Just some quick updates/announcements regarding next years Save That's.

1. Just like this year, the first two Save Thats will be subjects that I pick, and the last 2 will be voted on with polls.

2. 2022 will be the last year I do 4 Save That's in a year. I will cut it down to 3 starting in 2023. These are time consuming, and I would to have some more time to do other things. I might even cut it down to doing only 2. I haven't decided yet.

3. The next Save That will be Heroes vs Villains. I'll be taking the top 50 from both Heroes and the most recent villains Save That contests, so there will be no need for nominations. I'll post the roster in the next post, so you can see who you would want to vote for when the contes starts. I'll also post it again a day or two before as a refresher.

It's understandable if you want to cut back I know there used to be 3 people hosting these contests, then Popcorn sadly passed away and the third person got too busy for them. Maybe someone else could host 1 or 2 contests in 2023?
