I agree with you. I carry bags. Only times I don't clean it is when my dogs being a dick and squeezing out the very bottom of his tank and it's liquid. He saves poops for walks. It's impossible to pick up.

I think about how much easier it is for me to pick it up than it is for someone to fuck up their day by stepping on it and clean it off their shoe. So, I feel guilt if I don't. Nevermind if they trail it in their house before noticing.

Oh, I also don't clean it if he poops in a bush and it falls underneath it.

Cats are trickier since most people just let them out. We don't let ours out because of foxes and snakes, plus cars, but we see the neighbor's cat walking around outside some times.

Also no idea who would have done this. Our new neighbors put their dog in the backyard and the townhouse communities nearby take their dogs for walks here but I always see them cleaning up

had a neighbor who thought the same way, i started delivering his dogs turds to the sidewalk right in front of his driveway. he'd run it over and smear crap all over his driveway.

I'm not excusing it, just pointing out it is harder with cats since the owner usually isn't physically present. I don't think cats need to go outside without supervision in the first place though.

Eh, I get the frustration if it just happened to you. Like I said, I keep that in mind when my dog poops in the middle of a yard or park. Your intentions are good. People want dogs for very different reasons than cats tho. You can't just trade them out like that. There's zero logic there.

But that smear with alwaya be there for wet shits, even if we pick it up. Now you know why lol. I even try to come from under like a scoop to avoid it. And I use rubber gloves to really get in there lol. I'm out here trying

my cat has pretty much abandoned using its liter box and does its thing outside now, mostly in my yard. she's smart enough to shit in the same general area my dog does so they're both easy to clean up after.

Yeah I had a second plastic bag and tried to get a good claw grab on it and failed miserably and contaminated both plastic bags so I had to go get additional ones lmao. Oh well.

at this point she either stays in my yard or hangs out with a neighbor who does a lot of stuff in his garage during the day.

in general i'm against "outdoor cats", but i had little choice with this one since she was abandoned by a neighbor and was already an outdoor cat. its taken a while but now she spends maybe 70% of the day in the house, i'd force her to stay but she starts pissing everywhere...
