I did 1 game of Superstars the other day, I don't recall coming across any motion and I played it with Pro Controller

No, they specifically mentioned in interviews that it requires no motion control and can be played in handheld mode.

yeah hopeful it's a golf/tennis situation where they add some boards over the coming months

since theyre not really designing new boards from the ground up (though they have made changes to them) it hopefully wouldnt be too crazy to hope for

The ESRB rating claims that game has "In-Game Purchases" but my understanding is that there's nothing to purchase at the moment. But, it does sound like paid DLC of some sort is planned.

Also had two more 3 player games with friends who live halfway across the country and are both on Wi-Fi (i'm wired) and still 0 lag I'm shocked.

I'd get the game probably but the character choices are too few. Like, there's Yoshi I like and that's it.

Also, my friend groups don't play games anymore so I'd just be playing with randos which isn't nearly as fun.

It's resulted in a ton of new Ray Narvaez Jr. content for me to watch on youtube, so this game has been a real positive experience for me despite not owning it yet :)
