what? why? they're aggressive little buggers >:(

bees are cool because the pollinate, they make honey and they just leave you alone if you leave them alone. yellow jackets will fly right up to you and be like "HEY YO FUCK YOU" and just sting you because "fuck you thats why"

Fun Yellow Jacket extermination tip; If you dangle a chicken carcass(Like the inedible part of a rotisserie) above a container filled with water and dish soap(About 1/2 inch above the water) They'll fall into the water and dish soap, be unable to get it off their wings and drown shortly after. I killed well over 300 yellow jackets last year before I was able to find and douse their underground nest with boiling water.

But yeah, I attended Georgia Tech for a few semesters and STILL fuck Yellow Jackets.

There have always been a lot of wasps by my house and Ive never been stung. I find them kinda cute. Look at their face patterns

wasps in general are fine, they're aggressive but they generally dont do anything unless you go after their nest. yellow jackets are ground nesters, all you have to do to piss them off is walk a bit too close.

I'm no expert on plant biology, but maybe there's some sort of sticky residue that prevents them from leaving?

Yeah we have yellow jackets and they build nests everywhere. Just remove them when it starts to get dark out.

no, its just that they're distracted and the flytraps are sneaky. the bug is looking for food when it lands, the flytrap closes when they're as deep in as possible and the "teeth" on the flower act as bars keeping most insects in before they can escape.

Bugs are also looking for food in human dining areas. The trap seems to close so slowly, it's pretty unreal that they can capture any insect that flies as fast bees and wasps
