It's seemingly at random, but I've gotten fucking four over the course of 4-5 years. Two of which (including this one) I actually had to go to.

you can push jury duty up to 6 months thats what i do i try to get it to fall neart xmas or new year cuz they just delay court dates till the new year or after the holidays

I'm going in to determine whether I get picked for the actual jury duty basically. That's when they interview us and shit. I haven't been picked to be on a jury for an actual trial before. Hopefully they don't pick me this time either.

Same here. I've only had to actually report twice, and both times I was not even in consideration before they had all the jurors they needed. Every other time, I've called the morning of and was told I didn't need to show up.

I was on a jury for a civil trial that lasted a day and a half before the plaintiff just decided to settle. Spoilers: He wasn't going to win anyway.

Ah, ok. Believe me, it could have been worse.

Before the reforms at age 23 I spent 2 weeks sitting in a jury room. Rejected 3X - black male in grad school - instant peremptory challenge - "too black, too educated". That was a nightmare.

Also, I was kicked out of voir dire so much the Nation of Islam tried to recruit me. True story.

Ive been summoned twice and had to be on a jury once (trial went 2 1/2 days). It was sorta neat to see how the system works and be a part of it, but the process was incredibly dull and boring. I really hope I dont need to do it ever again.

I got a summons a couple weeks ago. I got it on the 17th, and it was on the 21st And then I just got one for today. Its on the 18th It sucks I also got one like a year ago It all started after I got my CDL Apparently, right before that, I got one sent to my home of record before the first one I got sent here. But my mom sent it back saying I dont live there anymore

Its random. But you need to make your like registered in your town or whatever. Im in the military, so my license had my home address from before I was in. So I never got one. Well, I never got one here. They did send it to the address on my license, though. When I got my CDL which has my current address, I got one in the mail. And two more within the past couple of weeks

The first one, they didnt choose me. Apparently, almost everybody was going to be chosen. But then a bunch of them were canceled, so I won

The second time (a couple weeks ago), it was cancel before I went in. This time, Idk But I dont want to go

You call the morning of to see if youre needed. And depending on that, you go in or stay home At least, thats how it is here
