If it's an issue over public safety, I'd imagine they would also want to require illegal immigrants that are detained to also be vaccinated as a requirement to stay in the country.

A lot of illegal immigrants are triaged at the border and essentially "caught". Why not make it a requirement for them, too? I think that is what is being discussed. It's pretty obvious that people who come across the border without any contact at all with U.S. officials, the requirement can't be enforced.

You'd almost think tests and vaccinations to ensure diseases don't cross into envrionments unable to handle them isn't already part of traveling to other countries. It's almost as is border regulations exist is part to prevent it. But hey, let them bring in anything from covid to Ebola, so long as we aren't racist.

This is irrelevant to what you asked. You're whining about them not mandating illegal immigrants. They're also not mandating American Citizens who don't work for a business with over 100 employees right now. They've said they plan to. Do I know 100% that they mean that? No, of course not, but its what they've said. If they don't you can come back and cry, but right now, you're question has been answered. They are not mandating illegal immigrants because the current mandate in place is just for Businesses with employees of 100 or more. Its very simple and you're purposely making it very difficult because you have no life.

One weakness that a lot of people on the left have is the unwillingness to impose the same rules across the board because they don't want to be seen "imposing" rules on members of other ethnic groups or other cultures.

I get it. You don't want to be seen as a White person telling Black people, Arab people, or Hispanic people what to do. But when something needs to be done by everybody, something needs to be done by everybody. If you're in this country without documentation, I don't begrudge you looking for gainful employment. But if you're going to work around other people, you should be vaccinated.

There's nothing racist about asking us to all keep each other safe.

I'm not following how you connect 'more than one hundred employees' to 'groups of twenty immigrants' ?

If EVERY adult was being required to vaccinate your connection would make more sense

The government cant or wont force people to get vaccinated so Im happy that theyre working around that by putting burdens & making it annoying in order to pressure people into getting vaccinated.

First thing that comes to mind is the vaccine is required to be taken in two doses, one month apart. Two weeks after the 2nd until it has reached effectiveness. That extends the stay of any illegal in this country by 6 weeks, which would stack up very fast if they tried to ensure they were vaccinated and quarantined appropriately before sending them back, if that would be the case.
