D. You can make a case of maybe Batman's Rogue Gallery vs Spider-Man's (Spider-Man's is better still imo) but Dr. Doom and Magneto alone are better villains than anything DC has.

Hell, Batmans villains alone qualify.

I cant really fairly judge though tbh, Batmans villains are the ones I know the most mainly because of the cartoon, Arkham games, and movies.. I know Jack shit about comics lol

Other than Batman's rogue gallery, the DC villains suck ass. Marvel by a landslide.

Marvel has SO many villains and a lot of them are even turned into jokes. Half of Spider-Man's roster, for instance. A lot of the time, its played up for laughs which is despicable.

DC has better villains overall.

Superman and Batman have the most notable rouge galleries

But Marvel probably has more notable baddies/antagonist overall

On top of the deep Spider-Man and X-Men rogue galleries you have Thanos, Dr. Doom, Loki, Ultron, Kang, Mephisto, Galactus, Red Skull, among others

DC's characters are head and shoulders above Marvel's characters.

It's a total tortoise and the hare contest. DC slept through the race and lost it. Marvel gave their best effort despite having less to work with and came out on top. 15 years ago, I never would have believed that Captain America would have outperformed Batman or that Avengers would out-perform Justice League.

I have to disagree with superman. Most of his rouges have either been upgraded to JL tier villains like brainiac, Darkseid, and even lex Luther. Can't be used often like Doomsday and Mxyzptlk. Or are boring as fuck like metallo, or parasite.

Metallo was a good villain in The Animated Series. I can't speak for the comic.

What's so bad about a kryptonite-powered Terminator who used to be human?

Kryptonite itself honestly. Every encounter wilth him or the substance revolves around supes being depowered and trying to counter it in some fashion, usually requiring some kind outside help in the end.

Every, single, time. It's boring at best and lazy at the worst.

This has been a thing since the 1930s.
The same heroes beating the same villains in the same way. That's why the 80s became all grimdark and the 90s was heroes vs heroes.

Then, everyone "died" and everything started over.

I'm afraid I have to disagree.

I think Metallo would make a great starter opponent in a movie trilogy since he's technically not as strong as Superman while still possessing abilities which make him a threat to the Man of Steel. It provides a challenge while still highlighting Superman's strength.

That's like saying the humans in Terminator could've speed dialed Robocop to come and save them. In a movie, especially if they have yet to establish a shared universe, Superman would be on his own.

Besides, why doesn't Spider-Man just call on Captain Marvel or Dr. Strange to save everything?

I mean, if you've seen the trailer, I guess it kinda answers my own question. Things go south when Spidey asks Strange to fix everything. He accidentally brings defeated villains back to life.

They could probabaly think of a villain with more creative abilitya to challenged superman then lazily just giving the bad guy kryptonite. It instantly destroys every superman story it touches.

I think the people overplay the abundance of Kryptonite in Superman stories. There are only three villains where Kryptonite regularly comes into play: Lex Luthor, Metallo, and Kryptonite Man. With Luthor it is mostly there for self-defense, so even he is rarely just adding Kryptonite to things. It is admittedly Metallo and Kryptonite Man's thing, though even then it is largely in the form of Kryptonite laser that hurt Superman but don't really depower him.

Trust me, If you watch enough DC media involving Superman/supergirl you're start to see it, ALOT. And is usually used as a constant plot device for turning what would have been a simple situation for them to overcome or solve into a serious dilemma.

Marvel's is better imo.

Magneto, Dr.Doom, Galactus, Loki, Ultron, Hela, Enchatress, Symbiotes, Mystique, Omega Red, Spider-Mans entire gallery, Kingpin, etc.. are all amazing.

DC has Batman and The Flash's gallery that most people remember. Maybe Atrocitus and Luthor.
