The game seems a bit uneven in spots with Switch performance not being great and the regular gameplay being fairly bare bones

However the story cut scenes and boss battles are being applauded as must see with the highs making up for the lows

Yeah, uh, the previous games were pretty much the same thing. Kill stuff until you're bored, snap back to attention at the over-the-top bosses and story scenes. Good deal!

Sounds exactly like the original, for better and worse. I was worrying a bit with the late embargo and how little of it we've seen, but I'm glad it's not a disappointment. Nintendo didn't have a hand in this right? So it'll probably come to other consoles eventually where it can run better.

NMH1 replay finished. Still as great as I remember it

NMH2 will be interesting because I only played it once back when the game first came out and I don't remember a ton about it

in my mind NMH2 had better combat, was a more linear game (and shorter), and Travis and the story overall were more serious in tone.

and that's exactly what it was. NMH2 beated that second form of Batt Jr. still a bitch

Next up....TRAVIS STRIKES AGAIN?! I played maybe 1/3 of it when it came out on switch before I stopped. By the time I was ready to pick it back up the PS4 version was announced so I just waited for that. With trophy support there will be greater motivation to finish it.
