Was a really big trip playing it *after* Control, I can see a lot of similarities and I feel like it potentially gave some explanation or story to how some of the shit in Control works. Also just the gameplay similarities (QB was clunkier but a lot of the abilities felt similar).

Those live action TV episodes are fucking dope, too. Helped tie everything in to the real world, which is what I love about Remedy games.

Still have a lot of questions about shit, I wonder if there was supposed to be expansion content or something at some point.

Kind of even tempted to play through again, haven't done that in a really long time.

Oh also found it really unnerving how they suggested that the year 2021 is when time would just end.

That's how I felt when it came out, it felt slow and didn't pull me in.

Glad I gave it another shot. Though I do think some of the abilities just become pointless after a while (like the one where you can create a ... frozen time dome on enemies and then your bullets stack up and deal extra damage).

It's one of the few games I probably would score higher in a review than I actually would have personally given it based on my own enjoyment.

Like Sekiro, it's a master class in a very particular kind of design ethos that I just couldn't get into.

I keep thinking about what I might have missed now, there's so much to go through. (Quantum Break and Control spoilers)

The Shifters they talk about in Quantum Break sound like it could be Hiss-controlled in Control.
They use the harnesses to protect people from the Hiss just like they protect people from the Stutters. People who aren't protected wind up frozen in time, or totally possessed.
Chronon particle-dense regions have time shifts that are basically like how the First House operates.
The Board speaks/is captioned in contrasting terms just like the choices you have to face as Serene.

I forgot about it but Dylan in Control talks about "Mr. Door" telling him about doorways to other worlds, and obv. there's "Mr. Hatch" in Quantum Break (which also sounds like "Mr. Scratch" -_-.

And there's an Alan Wake connection between them all.

And I loved QB so much I immediately started a second playthrough at the highest difficulty to pick all the opposite choices from my first playthrough. One of only two games I ever got 100% completion

Well I think we have good reason to believe it's going to be some sort of Alan Wake-related game. Regardless of what we get I am happy with the direction they took their games, I was really disappointed when they said they were shelving the idea of Alan Wake 2. The fact that Control tied in to it at all is one of the biggest selling points for me >_>

@littlebro07 I found both scripts but I couldn't bring myself to read through all the text lmao. Also found the Night Springs video where it's just people auditioning for the narrator's spot and they read the lines all fucked up. That was awesome.

I might have to go for 100% too -_-

Oh, do you know if I can just replay the missions on Hard without starting a brand new game? Just don't know if I should revisit levels for the upgrade points and missing lore and then just rush through the game on Hard or if I can do them all in one go together

Incredibly ambitious but idk it felt "off", like I was watching one of those low budget sci-fi shows on FOX in the late 2000s that lasted just one season or it was a lame tv adaptation of the video game you're playing.

Control on the other hand, is practically perfect in its twisted and bizarre narrative.

The story and characters were so good and what they did with the live action scenes was really cool. A solid 8/10 game that I wish got a sequel.

I know what scene you're talking about lol, there was the Windows logo on the screen for so long. Thought the same about the Nissan product placement, besides the fact that all the cars in the game are Nissans there's one scene where there's this Nissan billboard on the screen for a minute.

I honestly don't know >_> I tried to find and read everything I could, found a few emails that he had sent but don't know which one you're referring to specifically.

@SSJKirby Well, it confirmed that something revisiting Alan Wake was going to happen, but given the direction they went with I'm not 100% sold it's going to be AW2. Fingers crossed.
