I am not seeing a future for the Baby Yoda in the series; the appearance of ~~Luke Skywalker~~ and the departure had an air of finality to it, and the future First Order ~~seems to have gotten what they wanted out of Baby Yoda anyway~~. I do think we'll be seeing more of Grogu in other shows, though, or perhaps movies set in the future of the Star Wars universe.
