  • The main character isnt red, but white. Hes supposed to be wearing something similar to the Green Rangers dragon shield.


  • The four other Rangers are all robots. Might not have human face actors.


  • The theme is past Sentai mecha. (This season is the 45th anniversary) The four robot Rangers are based on the MMPR, Mystic Force, Wild Force, and Operation Overdrive Megazords.


  • The Rangers grow into the giant robot forms instead of summoning them.
In the context of earlier rumors that Hasbro is trying to distance Power Rangers from the Sentai source material, this might be Toei trying weird shit because theyre not worried about Western audiences.

These rumors come from usually credible sources, though, around the time that most of the real information starts leaking out.

Oh, I'm not saying it's not credible. Just that the way they're structuring this current team seems particularly flexible towards having to sub out members because of illness.

ive heard that theyd been accepting input from Power Rangers most of the time so that it would be easier to adapt to a foreign market, though outside of Bandai of America having input on the Kyuranger suit design, i dont think we know what other input there might have been, or if it was seriously accommodated.

tbh, Sentai that doesnt have to worry about adaptations only sounds good to me. Back when RPM was supposed to be the last Power Rangers series, Sentai went full Japanese with Shinkenger, which turned out amazingly.
