Is he really surprised people don't trust him with secrets?
Like when he told Andy his fiance was cheating, or when he spread a rumor about Stanley and THEN called his wife, along with spreading rumors about other people?

Michael telling Andy that he was being cheated on wasn't Michael being a horrible friend, it was Michael being the only person who insisted on doing the right thing. That was an instance of everybody else being horrible.

Everyone else was saying it should be coming from Angela and not him. And it should be. Not to mention he treated everyone in the office like shit after quitting for not joining his company, despite the fact that it was clearly a horrible idea and he couldn't even pay the money to fund their salaries, nor did he actually have a plan. He was also going to use the surplus money to give himself a bonus instead of getting new stuff for the office.

Nope, saying "it should come from the woman who clearly doesn't want to tell him and hasn't told him in the multiple weeks since it came out because she's just been using him the entire time" is just an excuse to not have to do the right, but difficult, thing and tell Andy something that is going to cause him pain. The rest of that stuff has nothing to do with you being wrong about the Andy cheating thing.

and Jim, the guy who tormented a mentally ill man (confirmed in show to be suffering from anxiety and depression) for over a decade.

I feel like you can't say for sure if the way Jim played around affected his anxiety and depression in a positive or negative way. This might seem stupid to you and others. But people like me thrive when we poke at each other and show love on a deeper level. Which Jim always showed that he cared about Dwights bigger picture all the time. And to tell him to just sit back and take Dwights bullshit just cause he has depression and anxiety, that can fuck all the way off. He literally dealt with him douchebaggery in a light-hearted way and still cared for his well being overall. Dwight was the one that wanted to shatter Jims bigger picture for the longest time. He was always way more malicious.

I really can't stand Michael. To the point where I never found him funny. I think the reason was because the first show I saw him on was the Christmas show when they were doing the gift exchange, and fucking Scott tots I can not watch that episode.

I guess some of that could be seen as malicious. But it's still way more light-hearted than trying to get someone fired all the time. To act like Dwight is just an innocent guy being tortured is bias as hell. Not to mention Jim had no insight on any mental health problems. Dwight didn't even have any insight on it during that stuff. I also think playing the "baby me cause I have anxiety and depression" card is a slippery slope.

Remotely? Id say so. Having faults and making mistakes doesn't make you a bad person. Unless you have impossible standards and are always looking for the first reason to feel holier than thou, while never self reflecting. Save maybe the .01% of actual saints out there.

But what you said helps my case of feeling it's off to pick Jim out the pack. Shit seems like jealousy, seeing as he put effort forward at more times than anyone else. It's just that he's the golden boy of the show and people want to blow up those flaws to bring him down a peg.

Sure, flaws etc are fine and everyone has them. But it was a show and obviously exaggerated, but their faults often weren't minor ones as a result. Typically the issue with shows in general that characters faults are rarely balanced with anything else, and so all we have to judge them on are their faults.

Toby still could be the Scranton Strangler.
That's an amusing fan theory and all but it's not based on Toby actually doing anything bad in the show. The worst thing that he did was accidentally let his feelings for a woman show.

Erin is a psychopath in her own right. Shes clearly demonstrated a total disregard for other people, its just played off as being dizzy.
I think you're making up this "total disregard for other people" thing.

We really didnt get to know Pete, but he really didnt speak up when Clark was planning to seduce Erin, even if he did make light hearted attempts to foil it.
He didn't "make light hearted attempts to foil it." He did foil it, and that means that what you've got for him not being a good person is that he didn't directly confront Clark while still displaying disapproval and stopping the bad thing from happening in a way that didn't create more conflict in his work place. That's a pretty weak argument.

I agree with that. In comedy, the flaws are just better material. Hence why a show like Always Sunny can be so consistently funny. They really take no breaks in putting flaws front and center. Of course, some of that is just personal preference. I'm not one to like the corny stuff, which usually is the stuff showing off good character traits.

For sure, I've no actual issue with it and very much enjoyed The Office, or even stuff like Sunny or Peep Show where the characters are purposely utterly awful.

Sorry but no, Michael treats the whole Office like they are family and goes out of his way numerous times to help people. The worst is maybe Scotts tots but he had good intentions and honestly do believe Michael would have paid for all of their college intuitions, I stand by that Jim and Pam are the worst 2 people in the office.

The best scene of Michael is when he is handing out halloween candy to kids in the end of an episode, truly good moment.

He broke up with her because he wanted to travel the world and have kids, where as she had already done both and no longer wanted to as she stated in the scene, which is partly due to her age.

Yeah. I completely disagree with what he said. Irritating someone doesn't mean they're just free from any blame for how they react. Life is full of irritations and the fact Andy handled it like that shows it was far less the action Jim did and more so Andy getting to an inevitable boilin point. He punches the wall again in fact.
