Punnyz 08/23/20 9:11:25 PM #1:	it wasn't alot but it was alarming, to say the least yesterday I noticed he was like, gagging. I thought he was just trying to pass a furball but then this happened I did the number 1 error and looked at Google. I mean, even logic suggests this but you don't just fucking spit up blood for no reason. Theres something wrong here. Tumor, heartworms, Cancer, blockage are the most common things I saw I'm genuinely upset. I can't help but think about his mother, who died earlier this year. She was throwing up vile brown stuff, and I believe I recall reading its possible that was blood too when something happens, you have to come to terms its possible they might not make it or I can't even afford to get help for him. I just hope he ate some string or something, thats the best case scenario nothing is open right now, I'll have to call tomorrow morning. Shit like this always happens on the weekend I opened up some wet food and he didn't want any. Thats how I know something is very wrong with him. He usually jumps up onto the counter when he hearts the can open. Its breaking my heart I put my hand out to him and he rest his head on my hand and fell asleep. His breathing seems off. kevwaffles 08/23/20 9:41:58 PM #2:	Even as a layman I can be pretty sure there exists less serious causes than the ones that float to the top of Google. The fact that you can comfort him and he can fall asleep semi-normally (as opposed to passing out) is definitely a good thing. Just try to stay calm and get him in as soon as you can tomorrow. It seemed obvious what the cause was, as I could see pieces of the bag all around near the blood. They didn't have any issues afterward and that was many years before the death, so it was fine. The cat also didn't show any other symptoms. During the latter, the cat was clearly very old and had a multitude of problems. It was obvious it was near the end. I think theres an issue with his lungs its not rhythmic like purring. Its coarse. I sort of had to pick him up to get his attention. But he stood for a bit before lying back down. At the very least he didn't collapse, ya know I called the vet and they can get me at 230. Cats are really difficult in that if they get even a little sick they stop eating completely, which kills them very fast. Blood transfusion probably needs to be done. But the problem is the facility is in San Antonio. They didn't tell me that at first. I haven't travelled a single time since covid got into full swing. That's what's making me optimistic I should also mention I took him to a different vet. I lost my other cats with another one and they didn't know what was wrong with them at all. Even w me working in medicine, it's different when it's your own and a different species. Had no idea what to do and freaked out. My dad drove 6 hours to stay w me to help me out. Sick pets are the absolute worst thing to deal with bc they can't tell you what's wrong. Best of luck man. When Rocky was sick I'd stay up almost all night. Just in case he whimpered or gave me any clue he needed to go outside. I can't imagine how hard it is not having your cat right now.
