I don't know why games keep doing underwater sequences, I can't think of a single instance where people were like "I really liked the underwater sequence in game x".

i was real surprised at how good it is for a ubisoft game tbh, especially with how much i hated origins, and i'm actually looking forward to valhalla

I didn't even like the underwater/shark bits in Black Flag. I also don't like how collectible-heavy AC has become, but eh... You do you if you're OK with them. It's also an ironic stance, in a way, since Syndicate was one of my favorite AC games. *shrugs*

Idk if anyone here has seen Greece IRL but nobody should be surprised that there are underwater activities.

And yeah, seeing as how Norway (if we play there) has fjords, Im sure there will be underwater objectives in Valhalla as well. Although youd probably need a special suit because the water would be freezing, and you shouldnt be able to see very far.

Even the earlier games had quite a few collectibles, but in most cases unless you have some weird OCD must complete everything type of personality they aren't worth collecting. I remember trying to get 100% in Assassin's Creed 2 when it was newer and even back then I spent a lot of time tracking down all the collectibles.

I remember the collectibles being decent in number in 2 and Brotherhood, and chests not really being a huge deal. The feathers were a little annoying, but doable and mostly fair. Syndicate went overboard on the collectibles.

for base game, i just need to do 20 bounty board things, but i have no idea how many i've already done because there isn't a way to actually check as far as i know

i've gotten all the achievements for the first dlc episodes, and i haven't even started the atlantis dlc yet

the sharks are fine. just snipe them before diving underwater since you can use your bow while swimming above water for some reason but not underwater

i just don't like being underwater.
