That was an adequate game. The complaints about it being too easy are not lying. There's an NG+ mode where you take more damage but have more magic...but I don't think it will really change anything with how readily available hearts and food is. Plus upgrades are so easy to purchase up front.

Overall a 6.5/10.

Pirate's Curse is still the best.

Definitely skip the first one and Half-Genie Hero is just okay. Risky's Revenge and Pirate's Curse are good games, so start with one of those.

Risky's Revenge is a good start but if you play only one, it should definitely be Pirate's Curse.

There are recurring characters but the plot is nothing you need to worry about.
