Which franchise has overall been managed worse?

I'd have to "objectively" state the DCEU because everything about how it has been managed is an ungodly mess. Literally doing a Zack Snyder's Justice League series on an upcoming streaming service for heaven's sake.

I'm sorry to respond seriously to an LMS topic but this is actually a sore subject for me. Honestly can't decide which one to vote for.

Abstaining is probably the smartest choice for me anyways

There are three different DCEU films that were worse-received than any of Disney's Star Wars films though.

DCEU by a long way. Not even close imo.

There's only been one Disney Star Wars movie that wasn't very good (TROS) and they all made a ton of money. They've also made at least one good series out of it.

DCEU was horrifically mismanaged to the point that they literally managed to screw up both Batman vs. Superman and Justice League in their rush to catch up with Marvel.

Please don't. The last thing you want is LMS to be posting about Ulysses and A Tale of Two Cities.

DCEU. Star Wars was never all that good anyway. DCEU was so obsessed with Marvel while the only thing they should've taken out of Marvel's playbook was the pacing, which is the one thing they didn't.

Definitely Star Wars. They started with something amazing and universally popular and drove it into the ground. DECU started with basically nothing and just failed to build anything better.

HA! You want LMS to read a book when he doesn't even take the time to watch all of the movies he has grievances about? If anything he'd read the reviews of the book and post even more of his lukewarm takes on this miserable board.

You know I watched Singing in the Rain for the first time a couple days ago, pretty good altogether. Felt a little cheeky but I enjoyed its portrayal of how Hollywood glamorized silent stars and the awkward transition to sound.

What are some good criterion/tcm esque movies I should consider looking at?

You're right, the Batman franchise has never had any sort of goodwill attached to it.
