There really arent any. They dont build your credit, and they dont give you any sort of incentives for using it; theyre really just for people with no credit or self control.

Fwiw I'm not in America and I don't think credit card debt payments affect our credit scores here at all and I'm p sure the limited rewards offered by banks here also apply to visa debits

This is a myth. Credit use is reported whether its in your statement or not.

I wouldn't say that it's always about self control. If I've recently used my CC to pay a bunch of bills, monthly subs, etc. then I get a bit of anxiety using it again until I can see exactly what the balance is. I can calculate it but I'm paranoid about the bank making an error.

Less maintenance when using a DC compared to a CC. You have only one balance you need to deal with and no due dates or late fees to worry about.

There arent any. Its much smarter to use a credit card if you have self control.

You can get rewards, build your credit, etc.

Oh and not to mention.... fraud protection. If an unauthorized purchase was made on your credit card, its easy to get it off. If this happened with a debit card, it is an absolute pain in the ass to get the charge reversed. They took forever to give me my money back when fraud happened with my bank account some years back.
