Obviously no one will vote in these matches! I also considered adding in PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale, Metroid Prime: Federation Force, Mass Effect: Andromeda, and Metal Gear Survive, but these were the first four games to come to mind in this context.

I think Other M is probably the one that is the least of a debacle here. Its just sort of drifted into obscurity at this point.

Other M > RE6 seems straightforward here, RE6 > Other M is possible I guess. Other M isn't quite as badly maligned overall whereas Fallout 76 would get antivoted straight into the trash can, and RE6 should beat out Battlefront II just on name recognition alone on Gamefaqs.

I might do another one with PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale, Marvel vs. Capcom: Infinite, Mass Effect: Andromeda, and Metal Gear Survive. Metroid will be spared for the time being.

Other M is at least a functional game which Fallout 76 reportedly isn't.

it's reputation is legitimately Sonic 06 worst game of all time levels. not comparable to something like RE6 that's just ..well..bad.

of these games other M should win pretty easily.

76 and Battlefront II are not only bad games, but they represent the worst aspects of this last decade.

The other two are just bad games.

Honestly I remember enjoying MOM both times I played it, but I can't help but reflect on the game negatively nowadays. Watching an LP of it two years ago convinced me I probably just never got past the hype phase.

Though I think I'd just find the game average if I replayed it, not completely terrible. But dear lord I cannot fault anyone who does feel that way.

The surprising thing is that in hindsight it doesn't feel like Metroid fans are THAT venomous towards Other M. Samus's VA in that game is actively part of the fandom now despite facing so much criticism for her flat performance, and I think people were generally fine with Samus Returns taking some cues from Other M for its combat. At this point it seems like MOM isn't seen as completely irredeemable.

In hindsight I find the game itself more forgettable than anything. The story isn't really that bad, or at least it would be significantly better if Samus's Captain Obvious monologues were excised. Then she wouldn't be hyping up a glorified Hate Sink as some great mentor figure. I kind of get what the intention was there but dear god does it fall flat. The gameplay is pointlessly innovative and overly simplistic, but past this it just feels like the game came off an assembly line. No other console Metroid really did.

my gut feeling is that PS All-Stars should win that because its not a really a bad game... just not a good one. It was a let down rather than a huge mess.

At this point, it's just a franchise battle, and I feel like the losers were way bigger debacles. Like, does anyone even know Battlefront II for anything other than microtransactions and pink Darth Vader?

RE6 honestly isn't even that bad. Like, it's bad, but compared to two games infamous for all the awful ways they con money out of people and a franchise killer, it doesn't even approach their level.
