Nothing serious, just a precaution because they want to make sure the VPN network can handle all of us working from home at once in case everyone goes under mandatory quarantine. Figured it might happen since a bunch of bigger companies in the area have planned to try it, but still feels weird.
Plus the last time I had to work from home for more then a day sucked. I know some people like it, but there are too many distractions and I just start reverting into "crazy hermit" mode. Hopefully these 2 days are it and I can go back to a normal for a while after it. --- I am a Contract Software Developer. What does that mean? I don't know, let me know if you figure it out. ... I love it. Whoever is paying me gets way more bang for their buck if I am at home because I tend to put in free time on things rather than just leaving at 5 and forgetting about it all until the next shift

It's gunna be really awkward when all the upper managers realize that the employees don't actually need them...

Been Working from home 6 years, it's the only way to go.
That being said, not everyone can do it. Kids running around, not everyone lives in a quiet area, etc. I just happen to live in the country on 4 acres, have no kids. And trained dogs. They tried to covert my whole team to remote about 3 years ago, production dropped off so much, 3 months later they were all back in the office --- PSN - somekat ... Copied to Clipboard!

There have been emails going around talking about it, but since I am part facility manager, I am at the office, Which I don't mind. I hate working from home.
