I'd put "romance" anime at the very bottom though. 3 eps of ok romance, 7 episodes of things getting more fucked because people lack basic communication skills, 1 episode of everyone being the dumbest humans alive, then a final episode where they end up together but you can't feel good about it because the last 8 eps just destroyed their characters to the point you don't care what happens to them. It's the exact same every single time. It's awful. Battle shonen is painfully predictable and samey but at least it has enjoyable parts. Eva is a good choice. It's really devisive though. I hear a lot of people RAVING about My Hero Acadamia....but I saw some trailers and clips for it....and it seems a bit too immature for me. Kinda tired of the middle school whine fests. --- Offensive (according to GameFaqs): sexually explicit, gory, or other obscene content. It's the completely standard battle shonen but with a lot of polish and production values. If you like battle shonen, it's hard to think you wouldn't like this, and if you don't you probably won't hate it but it probably won't change your mind either. Anime isn't just for middle school and high school kids anymore. A LOT of grown ass adults are getting into it these days. So why not make more series geared around that age range? We need more Berserks. Castlevanias. Cowboy Bebops. Moribito Guardian of the Spirits. Ergo Proxys. Technolyzes. Ghost in the Shells. That's similar to those (although maybe not as good and kinda confusing). It was one of the more popular "mindfuck" genre titles like lain, higurashi and texnohlyze. Actually theres rumors of something new happening with higurashi which would be awesome. They also had the newer kino's journey a couple years back. That was pretty good.
