Why is Biden so high?

Are we seriously going to have to vote between Biden and Trump in November?

If Yang gets top 3 in Iowa it's a game changer

I was honestly questioning the political implications of endorsing someone you tried to label as a sexist in a desperate bid to outperform them politically just a month ago (or a couple of months depending on when she drops out).

As it is now Warren can in perpetuity claim that she was telling the truth about Bernie even if nobody believes her, there's no evidence to shut her claim down. If she suddenly endorses Bernie the clear implication is that she was lying, unless she makes some sort of statement that supporting sexism is okay as long as we defeat Trump. Either situation seems like a political yikes to me.

I think it's just that while somebody like Pete is obviously insincere and slimy, Warren on the face of it seems like a nice schoolteacher, so to find out somebody you think is a nice old lady is actually kinda slimy herself makes you dislike her more than had you never trusted her in the first place.

She attacked Bernie's narrative about her that he's been using for his ground crew.

Then just after that she disclosed [something he probably said but wasn't a big deal] and tried to swing it in her "pro-women" favor.

I think most people would admit that women politicians face a whole different set of challenges than a male politician.

But I think the way the Bernie campaign dealt with both is pretty shitty. He could have just admitted both and apologized and/or explained and it would have gone over way better.

Biden leads because he does great with old people, who basically always show up to vote. He's also strong with black people, especially older black people(who happen to be a dominant voting demographic in South Carolina). However, Bernie typically is right on his heels, and does better with younger blacks.

Also, it should be mentioned they last polled in October, which is why Warren has such a huge drop: that was basically her high-water mark. She's been falling in the polls for the last three months, and it doesn't seem like she's done falling: failing to win Iowa or New Hampshire would be fatal for her(and Butt).

Bernie encouraged her to run in 2016. He said she could win. She didn't run because she didn't want to go up against the establishment. Challenging Hillary for the democratic nomination wasn't politically safe.

Bernie then only ran because Warren wouldn't. Now years later, she accuses him of saying a woman can't be president? After he's been her cheerleader for years AND campaigned for Hillary harder than he was obligated to.

It was a slimy move and she's paying for it in the polls. She had a chance, but she's letting the former Hillary campaign staffers run the show. It's not a surprise this backfired on her so quickly.

She pushed a narrative that "bernie doesn't think a woman could BE president" and also knowingly with a microphone on challenged him about it.

She might be the sweet old lady she seems to be but at least her campaign if not herself is fine playing politically manipulative games and she just no longer seems trustworthy.

After Hillary "untrustworthy political gamesmanship mainstream politician woman" is something people are going to have a negative reaction to. Maybe she is a great person, I'm sure she's more trustworthy than hillary, but I don't think she seems trustworthy enough anymore for most voters.

Her mic'ed up challenging Bernie just felt like such a calculated political stunt.

Why do you think he probably said it? There's nothing in his long documented history that would point to him saying that.

Now if she claimed he said "A woman becoming president will be difficult", I think most people would agree and think that's believably something he said. However, that's not what she said.

The average American voter is mostly uninformed outside of major political events, and even then, not so much. They associate Biden with simply experience, and his association with the Obama administration. The logic is "well, he was the VP, so how could he mess up as bad as Trump?"

Because it's not an unreasonable thing to say. Idk if a woman can win against Trump because it's so easy to swing a hardline woman politician as a cold bitch, or to roll over one if they don't show the machismo. It's exactly what happened to Hillary. I think there's an extremely sizable portion of the US that don't see women as leaders.

The extreme denial over a reasonable statement seems strange, unless you're worried it won't play well politically.

No shit, I wasn't in the room. Thing is the burden of proof should be on Warren. She made the accusation and then refused to delve into any detail on the matter. It hurt her so much yet she waits a whole year, right before that debate to bring it up? People were rightly skeptical.

Bernie's been touting that a woman could be president for decades. He was on the side of women when Warren was a republican who didn't want taxpayers money going towards abortion. She's the one who's commitment to women should be questioned. We actually have evidence of her true colors.

First off, it wasn't an extreme denial. He calmly said it wasn't true and didn't give the media vultures anything else to feed off. He knew exactly what Warren was trying after the debate with the mics on.

And does Bernie seem like a guy who's worried about what will play well politically? He likely has more enemies than anyone in the race, on both sides.
