I think Dende mentioned him once in the anime, but that was it.

Thats almost as weird as Kid Trunks being 1/4 the size Future Trunks was at the same age AND having different hair too. For whatever reason they made DBS Trunks have the same blue as his mom, but Kid Trunks still has purple-ish hair....
