Cashier: That'll be $134,17
REMercsChamp: I'll go as high as 110 bucks.
Cashier: Sir, you're at a walmart.

You can but it involves basically leaving aside all your self-respect. They showed it being done on 20/20 and you have to be willing to be a complete and utter snot.

Just paying the price they want to charge. You have to call in a manager and basically refuse to leave unless you get a deal.

I was able to barter a little bit on my laptop, but it was an open box item at Best Buy. I think they have a little more room to wiggle on those- and it was with a sales rep/sales manager.

Basically it's up to the manager in my experience. For example, if all your items are in great condition then no chance in hell. If you picked up something that has nicks and whatever, they'll give you 10-15% off on that item. The difference is that in retail everything is at a set price in the system.

I have worked in retail for over 5 years now, I know the deal.

Generally those types of items will be in a damaged goods bin with a discount sticker already on it. No haggling needed

You should only ever really try to haggle if there is a proper salesman involved. Like at a electronics shop buying your next laptop

If you successfully intimidate the cashiers then yeah you may be able to haggle. Theyll get in trouble but youll get what you want. The customer is always right.

Depends on the retailer but usually theres some wiggle room from sales associates and managers on the floor before you get to the cashier. Some stores outright advertise to ask for a discount whilst others will just have very lax price matching policies.
