I always found the triforce of wisdom to be the most useless. It's like the heart power from Captain Planet.

It's not so much as to who "had" them, but so much as to who is usually associated with each aspect.

Technically, courage is associated to Link, Ganon is associated with power, and Zelda is associated with wisdom.

I thought it gave the person magic and slight foresight or something.

Im guessing they forgot about it. It was still called the triforce, so someone knew it had three pieces at one time or another. Maybe Link had it and didnt know.

I'm pretty sure that on the Zelda cartoon the Triforce of Courage was never mentioned. It may have come up in the later Captain N episodes in which the heroes went to Hyrule and met a Link and Zelda that looked similar to the ones in the Zelda cartoon; I forget.

She must not be very smart if she keeps getting captured and/or losing Hyrule.

Considering she's rescued every time and each game essentially ends with a victory for Good, maybe it IS working out for her.

Maybe she's so much smarter than everyone else, she's the only one capable of understanding how all of these minor failures and losses add up to a much greater good. She's single-handedly guiding us into the best possible timeline, but doing so requires her to occasionally get kidnapped and the land to suffer for a bit, because the alternatives are worse.

The reason you go on an adventure and get the stuff you need to become a hero is because of her getting captured. So, there may be something to this...

Newsflash: the best way to stop a problem is to prevent it. I don't buy this idiotic theory that she's smart because she let's the problems happen.

She cant always do that. Like how she tried to prevent in OoT, but was child who nobody would listen to until she was able to prove it after Link becomes the hero with future Zeldas help and info.

Or like how in Wind Waker, she didnt even know she was Zelda. And even if she did, Link had to force the gods to let him be the hero by making the triforce (The golden Tri-forks). Though, he really just wanted to save his sister, at first.

She cant always prevent. Or maybe prevented would have caused things to turn out worse. And getting captured was the best option... Which is what he was getting at. Maybe prevented would have caused there to not be a hero, but something worse arrives in the land. And the only way to have a hero ready was to be captured to get Link to be a hero and save her...

That assumes you have the potential to prevent it in the first place. Maybe, no matter what you do, no matter how hard you try, no matter how much knowledge you possess, you can literally never prevent something terrible from happening (just ask Cassandra). But maybe, just maybe, you can use your knowledge to mitigate the harm the bad thing causes. Or help a better thing come afterward.

And again, you're assuming she's even trying to prevent the bad things that YOU know about. Maybe she's allowing those bad things (or outright causing them) to prevent a far greater threat which you will never know about, because she prevented it.

If someone travels back in time and murders Hitler as a baby to prevent the Holocaust, even if they're successful and the future become a far better place, no one in 1890 is going to applaud the murder of a baby as a wonderful thing. They'll just see it as a tragedy because they have no idea what it stopped.

Maybe there is no perfect world where nothing bad ever happens, and no one is ever sad, and everyone lives happily ever after. Maybe all we can ever really do is strive to be in the best possible timeline and put up with whatever evil still happens, because every possible alternative is worse.
