Which, apparently, has nearly constantly failed to help her. Considering she's rescued every time and each game essentially ends with a victory for Good, maybe it IS working out for her. Maybe she's so much smarter than everyone else, she's the only one capable of understanding how all of these minor failures and losses add up to a much greater good.
