The new vegan burger patty that is suppose to be super similar to meat.

I have probably only ate like 5 other veggie burgers in my life so I can't compare it to those really.

However it really did feel, look, and taste like a beef burger patty. Not like a top of the line big juicy burger, but I would put it right above a standard McDonald's burger patty. It was good.

I tried some of the Beyond Meat burger patties the week after their IPO got all the publicity and was surprised that it didn't taste like shit.

I don't think it will catch on until they are cheaper than meat but its good that they are tasting better and trying to come up with some meat alternative.

I heard the reason they keep the recipe a close secret is because they use lab grown meat and is "vegan" that way.

Wouldnt they be required to disclose that in the ingredients?

idk, just parroting what I heard. Not sure about the status of lab grown meat FDA requirement wise.

Correct. I'm guessing the impossible burger overall have a 900-1,000+ mg of sodium. So much for the healthy route.

I tried the one from White Castle. It tasted like salty mushrooms mashed into a burger patty.
