What was it he said were the odds of that, 1 in 400? With how many attempts these guys usually have that doesnt seem outside the realm of possibility. Wouldnt be surprised if a method to guarantee subpixel position is developed eventually, like it has been for several parts of SMB1

a real thing that happened once because kirua randomly ate shit against iggy

the 1 in 400 were the odds of the earliest hammer + no hands (aka the things that are entirely luck). the odds of getting all the clips first try + no hands would probably be quite a bit worse but are more subjective and not entirely luck (i don't think he got early hammer that run but i already forgot).

I could never pb chase SMB3, the rng with the hands shit is just way too infuriating. SMB3 has some of the worst rng of any otherwise delightful-to-speedrun game. Too many autoscrollers too

Otherwise I love running SMB3

Yeah the fact that it's a good speedgame despite quite a few autoscrollers tells you how good the rest of the game is.

Sadly it was only a race to beat world 4, I would never stand a chance at beating him at any%

The last few worlds are a lot worse for me than the first few and the longer the game goes the more inevitable him catching up to me is going to be

I'm an okay SMB3 runner but I can't really go fast like the best runners can, like I don't get P-speed and run through levels I just kinda play normal but very efficient/few mistakes

so I beat Kirua that one time because he just had bad deaths and I didn't

I watched the video yesterday after I felt done with GFaqs, so in a sense I was too busy.

Looking through his other videos it's crazy how fast the Mario Kart video became one of his best viewed by such a large margin. It's basically tied with the 4-2 SMB1 video and then there is a huge gap before anything else.
