I apparently spent a couple hours on the demo trying to beat it and refused to lower the difficulty below "normal"

why couldn't they have just called normal hard goddammit? there are already four difficulties and a "normal" difficulty should not be the second hardest!

and I totally fucking beat it and then Block Man does some final attack bullshit at 0 health which I died at. I didn't have the patience to do it all again

I started a Mega Man Classic series marathon a few days ago and although I made some damn good progress, it's not complete yet
I played-
Mega Man 1-8
Mega Man I - V
Mega Man and Bass [All CDs, finish with both Mega Man and Bass]
Mega Man Powered Up [Old Style and New Style, Normal Mode]

So I hope I will be able to finish 9 in the next few hours I got left, then Mega Man 10 and Mega Man vs Street Fighter (it is officialy published Capcom game after all)
I wanted to put Wily Wars there too but it's totally skippable (just for the Wily Tower, I never beat it)
And maybe that Mega Man and Bass for the wonderswan lololol

It's tough at first because the game is designed around the gear system and you're likely to want to just play it like a regular Mega Man game without it

But once you get used to using the gears and then it's buying upgrades in the shop it's pretty easy

so far i've felt like normal is pretty difficult. it feels like there's more instant deaths than usual, i've gotten kind of frustrated with them a few times.

but items in the shop are really strong and you can start getting those pretty quickly.

i'll also admit i forget to use my power gear ever, and am only starting to remember to use speed gear.

completed 2 and a half stages so far.

Normal Mode
Buster only (except bosses)
No Gears

For reference here is when I got the no damage trophy after I got used to the mechanics and using my gears. You can see I used to speed gear quite liberally

oh ya Mega Man 11 beated personal rankings time

2 > 11 > 9 > 10 > 5 > 3 > 4 > 7 > 8 > 1 > 6

Currently at 44/51 trophies the rest are all gonna be via replaying the game with various challenges

Unlike 9 and 10 which were essentially Mega Man 2-2 and Mega Man 3-2, this one actually moves the series forward while also being a great mega man game in the process

I had a lot more problems with midbosses than any of the masters

A few more unlocked after a couple Wily stages but I still had some completely unavailable at the end.

Screw Catcher only unlocks on saturday. That explains why those with review copies had it unlocked.

I had 2 not unlocked after I finished everything

Screw catcher must be one of them

I looked it up and most things unlock by doing certain things enough times. One requires fully depleting a weapons energy 30 times, I bet that one doesnt get unlocked often by folks.
