I don't know if this is something people are interested in, but I know there are a number of parents on the board. We can talk about parent things?

Let's start with a question:

How many kids do you have and how old are they?

And please, go from there. I'll start!

My daughter is 12 weeks old. She's going through some sort of growth spurt it seems like and is being upset while sleeping. Normally she's a great sleeper, but she's been sleeping up like at 3 or 4 in the morning again. I hope she gets back to sleeping until 6 again soon.

Great sleeper at 12 weeks?!

My daughters are 9 and 4 (soon to be 5).

I used to think shit was expensive when they were young, and it is, but holy hell wait until they are older.

I have four daughters.

My oldest is 14. She's a freshman in High School. She's doing pretty well too. If she didn't have trouble with a couple of words in English, she'd be getting straight A's.

The twins are 5 (will be 6 on Christmas). They're in Kindergarten and they love it (almost as much as they love Frozen).

And my youngest is 4 and in pre-school. She really hates going, but she's gotten better at it lately.

My kids are 5(son) and 3(daughter.) My son started kindergarten this year and it will be his first real year of hockey. He is also taking judo and piano. My daughter started her first year of pre-school. Her second year of dance, in a new dance school because we moved. She is also in gymnastics. Her dance class is acrobatics and ballet, she calls it acroballics.

Winry (5 about to be 6 in Dec.)

Kairi (4 years old)

Winry just started Kindergarten this year however PreK3 and 4 were in the same school, its offered by the Town, still had to pay for it but it was considerably cheaper than Day Care and you had a legit educational structure (not really sure how involved Day Cares are since we didnt' use them). Kairi is in K4 now. Both girls love school. Win and Kai are both in Dance and have been for years, this year they were finally able to take the same class which they think is amazing (And it means only staying for 1 dance at the recital this June. WINNING!) And Winry started soccer this year, not her favorite.

She likes practices because there is more interaction with the ball. She doesn't like the games because its just a mob of kids constantly kicking the ball out of bounds. However her team is the only undefeated team, we have this one little boy who scores close to 7 goals a game.

Yay, large babies! Winry's head was always like top 99%, I look back at her baby pictures and compare them to her now and i'm just like "wtf was wrong with your head?"

Win was an amazing sleeper we'd get like 10 hour nights with her almost immediately, would have been longer but i'd always wake her to feed her cause thats just weird to sleep THAT much as a newborn. Kai was not a good sleeper, i guess you only get one.

My son is 17 months old as of yesterday, his name is Zack. He sleeps from 7pm til about 3am when he needs a change/some milk, then he's back down til about 7am.

Full time job, Wife, Son, House, 3 pets, Youtube Channel with daily releases, I can't imagine having more than one kid right now. But hey it might happen sooner rather than later so who knows. Life is busy, and my body has been the sacrifice to handle all of life. I really need to get in better shape but holy hell I just never have any time or energy to do so.

On breastmilk its like a splash of poop maybe once a day.

Its so easy to change a younger babys diaper.

Not only can toddlers lay nasty bombs, but they kick and flail the whole time.

Last Christmas we got told our daughter might have leukemia and we had to spend a week in the hospital getting tests and stuff done to make sure she was ok. Turns out it was an extremely rare reaction to the flu that causes white blood cells to drop and mimic leukemia symptoms.

Hi!

I have a two year old named Travis.

He slept by himself until we moved last year and now he wants company at night. If he wakes up and no one is there, he will leave his room and track us down. So one of us will typically just sleep with him in his bed while the other takes our bed. When hes a little older, well train him to stay in his room.

My son was born with a blood disorder where he had basically no platelets or white blood cells, and had to be monitored in the NICU for like 6, horrifying weeks, with his numbers going up and down every day.

Its in remission now, but he has to be monitored monthly until hes 5 because it could come back/turn into Leukemia.

Kids are scary.

Thankfully my daughter is absurdly healthy, it would have been so hard to go through that again.

This is a weird thing to post but this seems like the right topic to do it in since you guys might travel in the right circles.

My husband & I are in the adoption process. It's been a long slow process thus far. One of the things our agency tells us is to let everyone we know know that we are looking. Because someone we know might know someone who is pregnant and planning to put their kid up for adoption. If you do, consider putting us in touch with said person. It would save us a lot of time & money ($18k if our agency finds the match for us that we save if we make a match ourselves).

I know this is a long shot but hey, can't hurt.

There definitely are. My sister and her wife went that route and adopted three older girls. The process was a lot easier than if they decided to adopt a baby. But I do understand some people wanting a baby first. There's a lot more time to bond.

My wife and I are done with newborns after 2 but we are debating adopting a 3rd in a few years. There are so many kids at all ages that need good homes we would probably be okay with almost any age below like 9.
