This guy on the Steam community pages keeps talking about how much greater RCTW is than Planet Coaster despite the fact that RCTW rarely gets updates and when they do it's like eight new items and that's it.

Apparently on Tuesday they just released a new update. These are literally the patch notes:

Crash Fixed crash when saving a blueprint.
Crash Fixed a crash at 100% park loading screen when a saved blueprint cant be loaded.
Crash Fixed a crash for terrain painting at the edge of the park area.
General Added auto-save functionality.
General Added option to turn on/off auto-save.
General Added option to set auto-save interval.

Yes, almost two years after the fact they added auto-saving to the game. And an option to turn auto-saving on or off.

And this guy quoted this as support of his argument that I haven't touched in several months now.

RCTW was so broken at release that trying to build a rollercoaster would crash the game. Trying to build a rollercoaster. in rollercoaster tycoon. crashed the game. Since the launch they've apparently had "ten" updates, a few have added content but it's extremely minor stuff (like the halloween update from a year or two ago added a few very low resolution set pieces).

Planet Coaster releases regular updates with free features (and sometimes free props). They do sell DLC packs, but the DLC packs add new rides and *hundreds* of various types of scenery items, animatronics, shapes, nature pieces... like, everything you could want for that theme.

Yeah :\ A lot of the people that worked on RCT3 moved over to Frontier which makes Planet Coaster and Jurassic World Evolution.

I don't know wtf Atari was thinking though, they basically took a casual mobile version of Rollercoaster Tycoon and put it on the PC and thought that was good. I'm always curious about their pre-release beta weekend which was so bad it forced them to push the release date back. And then they still released garbage >_>. Like how bad was it?
