he's right. all the kids, whose parents were from that region, that i went to school with (which is a lot in queens ny if you look at demographics) have been pretty open about how their parents hate black people. i've known a handful of people who actually got disowned by their parents for going to prom with a black person

Is the title supposed to mean?

Mexicans would like a word too. The older generations in my family down to people younger than me that I've worked with. Every time I hear people ranting on about "white people are racists" etc. it's like you know what, bite me. Live in that little perception bubble if you want. I've never even read that the KKK has said the things I've heard in real life by other hispanics.

I have two distant cousins that were flat out disowned by everyone, parents and siblings included because they dated and had kids with black men. One of them died in fact like a decade ago and no one went to the funeral. She had long ago moved away but not too far. But not even her parents went. I can say without any uncertainty. Big time mexican catholic family. Turning out gay, changing religions, getting married outside the church. That's a lifetime of sideways glances and discontent from everyone and seeing your parents get looked down upon as if it's their fault. But dating a black person. That's disownment across the spectrum.

Interesting you say this. In the US we say Im <insert heritage> but to those people still in that country, youre considered American. German, Irish, Italian, whatever ancestry, born in the US = American as far as native people in your ancestral country are concerned.

As one, my experience with the Italian community here in the US and my family is that we're racist to everyone including ourselves. We seem to just hate everyone. But mostly in the sense that we just want to mock people with stereotypes for a cheap laugh.

I've noticed East Asians tend to treat black people pretty badly. Like even worse than First Nations badly, and in Canada that's really rare. I went to a local gas station to fill up and get some candy and had to wait 5 minutes while the old asian lady working the till followed a trio of black teens around the store to make sure they weren't going to steal anything. Like literally left the cash register open in front of me to go do it. Luckily I'm not a thief and I really wanted some gummi bears or I could have made a sweet bonus that day yanma.
